It's easy for progressives to jump on the immigration bandwagon without thinking through it's implications and causes, those causes have nothing to do with progressive politics but are actually capitalist wealth building tools. In that sense progressives are supporting the very interests they claim to be fighting.
Economically coerced immmigration is wrong, it's not something people necessarily want but something that is thrust on them by the world economy by destroying their local self sufficiency and forcing them into a dependance on a cash driven economy. There are "progressives" that will scream racism and intolerance at the slightest hint of criticism toward immigration policies, this knee jerk attitude doesn't help us move forward to a better more fair world that they claim to be working for.

motly crue

The US chamber is really pushing for amnesty to provide more unskilled slave labor to America's corps. The Unions are pushing for it too, no matter that it will flood the market with unskilled labor ultimately driving down union wages and benefits. That 15.00 min wage for fast food will also price the unskilled out of the market because those old white people will then apply for the jobs and force the poor unskilled to the curb. Foolish in the extreme,

Please cite a historical instance where a minimum wage increase hurt workers. 03.Dec.2013 07:12

You can blather bout Merca and dey took er jobs! But if you can't cite any specific historical instances where this acually occured, then youre full of hot air. More fear driven ignorance on the part of Merca's dipshits.
