PORTLAND, OR — On the evening of June 7, 2014 Springboard Innovation plays host to a unique celebration in honor of 10 years of community-led change. Adding to the excitement, Springboard Innovation's Hatch space has been selected as the official Portland venue for international Unf*ck the World day.
Since its founding as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2004, the award-winning Springboard Innovation has been working to change the way people see business by helping launch social enterprises. Springboard considers this joint event a natural alignment and is excited to share the global Unf*ck the World message of "introducing everyday people and groups who make positive changes in their communities, spreading awareness and inspiring others to take action!"
The plans for this fundraising evening include Change the World Confessionals, special prizes including a Hatch membership, cash bar with local refreshments, music by XRAY.fm, trivia, Unf*ck the World merch and inspiring words from Springboard founder Amy Pearl and special guests on how to turn your ideas into action.
The doors for the event will open at 7:30pm at Hatch Community Innovation Lab, 2420 NE Sandy Blvd in Portland. A $5-$10 donation is suggested upon arrival, which enters guests into a special raffle prize. Hatch is located on #12 and #19 Trimet bus lines, bike parking is available at the main entrance and there is limited street parking within the immediate neighborhood. This celebration will be all ages and no advance tickets are required.
