Hate Crime Church Shooting In Charleston, South Carolina

This evening (Wednesday) there is a reported 'mass shooting' -- with simultaneous bomb thread - at the historic 19th century Emanuel AME (African Methodist Episcopal) Church, in Charleston.

There are nine confirmed fatalities.

Eight people died in the church. One later died in hospital.

at this time the victims have not been individually identified.

An earlier bomb threat which immediately followed the shooting in the area has been rescinded.

Charleston police are currently seeking a white male with sandy blonde hair, aged early 20s as the suspect in the fatal shootings.

No details about the type of weapon used in the shooting, or how the shooting occurred, inside or outside of the church building, etc. are presently known.

The chief of police says that the shootings are being investigated as "a hate crime."
The church's congregation is led by the Reverend Clementa Pinckney, who is also a Democratic representative in South Carolina's state senate.

It is reported that earlier in the day today (Wednesday 6/17), Pinckney had attended a fundraiser for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

presidential candidate Jeb Bush was scheduled to be in Charleston tomorrow (Thursday 6/18) but that visit has reportedly been canceled.

So What? It's A Small Non-Police Officer Crime 17.Jun.2015 22:37

Why worry about a "hate crime"? Every now and then a non police officer kills a few of us.

There is nothing to be done about it, beyond catching the alleged killer.

The cops kill many black people every week. No problem for them.

.

Rev Clementa Pinckney - pastor of Emanuel AME church and a Democratic member of the South Carolina Senate, who was inside the church at the time of the shooting - helped lead a prayer vigil in April for Walter Scott, a black South Carolina man who was shot dead by a police officer.

Pinckney campaigned for legislation to require law enforcement officials to wear body cameras while working, saying:

" Body cameras help to record what happens.

It may not be the golden ticket, the golden egg, the end-all-fix-all, but it helps to paint a picture of what happens during a police stop. "

The body camera requirement became law one week ago.

It is not clear whether Pinckney survived the (Wednesday June 17th church) shooting.

Skin color of shooter matters, not lives 18.Jun.2015 11:40

As we've been taught, the most valuable life is the past life of a black person who was murdered by a white person.

As far as I can infer from corporate media, here are the current "Lives Matters" rankings from most important life(the murdered) to least.

1) White cop shoots black person
2) White person shoots black person
3) Black person shoots white person
4) White person shoots white person
5) Black person shoots black person

We're totally being distracted and torn apart by what I believe are hoaxes ... 18.Jun.2015 15:20

More on the accused shooter, Dylann Storm Roof 18.Jun.2015 21:14

Big Pharma

As investigators try to piece together the background of Dylann Roof, now in custody in Charleston in connection with the church massacre, a childhood friend has told Associated Press that Roof had talked of the need for something to be done "for the white race":

Dylann Storm Roof recently reconnected with a childhood buddy he hadn't seen in five years and started railing about black people "taking over the world" and the need for something to be done for "the white race", the friend said on Thursday.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Joseph Meek Jr. said he and Roof had been best friends in middle school but lost touch when Roof moved away about five years ago. The two reconnected a few weeks ago after Roof reached out to Meek on Facebook, Meek said.

Roof never talked about race years ago when they were friends, but recently made remarks about the killing of unarmed black 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Florida and the riots in Baltimore over the death of Freddie Gray in police custody, Meek said.

"He said blacks were taking over the world. Someone needed to do something about it for the white race," Meek said. "He said he wanted segregation between whites and blacks. I said, 'That's not the way it should be.' But he kept talking about it."

He said that when he woke up on Wednesday morning, Roof was at his house, sleeping in his car outside. Later that day, Meek went to a nearby lake with a couple of other people, but Roof hated the outdoors and decided he'd rather go see a movie.

Meek said he didn't see his friend again until a surveillance-camera image of a man walking into the church was broadcast on television Thursday morning. Meek said he didn't think twice about picking up the phone and calling authorities.

"I didn't think it was him. I knew it was him," Meek said.

Roof was Previously Arrested TWICE (before today) in 2015 -

RadarOnline obtained court documents showing that Roof was arrested on February 28 on felony drug charges.

He was arrested again on April 26, charged with misdemeanor trespassing for returning to the scene of the alleged crime.

WYFF has details of the arrest, reporting that Roof was arrested at the Columbiana Centre mall for possession of Suboxone, a schedule III prescription narcotic:

Mall security contacted a police officer patrolling the mall ... about a man wearing all black who was asking store employees "out of the ordinary" questions. Workers at "The Shoe Dept." and "Bath and Body Works" told security that Roof was asking them how many associates were working, what time they closed and what time they leave. The officer approached Roof and asked him why he was questioning store employees. According to the report, Roof told the officer "his parents were pressuring him to get a job." ... Roof, according to the officer, appeared nervous during their conversation. When asked whether or not he had anything illegal in his possession, Roof said "no." The officer then searched Roof and found an unlabeled white bottle and orange strips, which Roof identified as Listerine Strips. The officer, however, did not believe him and asked again. Roof said the strips were actually Suboxone ...

Suboxone, a Schedule 3 narcotic is an opioid replacement, like methadone.

After the first (February 28) arrest Dylann was banned from the shopping mall for 1 year.

Following the second arrest on April 26, a 3-year ban from the mall was put upon Dylann. His car was turned over to his mother.
(It is not known how/when he re-obtained the car to drive over and commit the church atrocity yesterday.)

High school acquaintance John Mullins, remembers Dylann Roof as "kind of wild" and "used drugs heavily, a lot.. obviously harder than marijuana. He was "a pill popper - Xanax, and stuff like that."
