It would appear that Lake Chad, a freshwater source, is being covered with salt.

This is just noise. What has this to do with what we are going to do?

This just takes up our space.

What a difference a day can make.

This image from 7 am GMT (sunrise) on December 3rd shows that the salt has spread all over the land, the lower part of Lake Chad and onto various other lakes and rivers.

This is significant because you cannot drink salt water, and you also cannot farm land polluted by salt.

A swath of destruction? 03.Dec.2015 05:21

Brent

What seems so bizarre about all this is that this catastrophic event took place at the same time that Lake Chad was in the news at the climate conference in Paris, where the Nigerian president just asked for 14 billion dollars to build a canal to replenish Lake Chad (tens of millions of people use the water, and the lake has shrunk by over 90 percent). The Boko Haram also launched some terrorist attacks around Lake Chad (yesterday's headlines read "Cameroon Army kills 100 from Boko Haram, frees 900 hostages").

You can see Lake Chad at the top of the map, and now after all these things happened it looks like salt and wind has cut a swath of destruction right through Cameroon and Nigeria right down to the coast.

I am stunned. Could this be what it looks like?
