Practical, low-budget, creative, positive resistance is needed

Powerful and Peaceful resistance! What can we learn and put into practice, from what worked for early progressives and classic Democrats? What worked in the 1960s, and what mistakes did we make? What new creative ideas can we use to resist?
Resistance Marians suggested and historic methods

What did the progressives of the late 19th and early 20th centuries do, that worked such as to build strong unions, get an 8-hour day, breaks, lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and more? I don't know, but we can study up and use them. These methods did not rely on costly TV advertising, but on word of mouth. Maybe flyers and posters.

In the 1960s, there was the hilariously political San Francisco Mime Troupe. I saw them many times when I lived in SF. In the late 1970s in Oregon, there was Dr. ATomic's MedicWhat the progressives of the late 19th and early 20th centuries do, that worked? I don't know, but we can study up and use them. In the late 1970s in Oregon, there was Dr. ATomic's Medicine Show. We need more street theater now! How can people participate, in large and small ways? I'd like to participate in some way.

Also in the 1960s there were The Diggers. When there was a gathering or rally, they brought plenty of boxes of free oranges, and tossed them into the crowd. I caught an orange! Or they brought hundreds, maybe thousands, of free sandwiches. I had a sandwich. They also had (or someone did) a Free Store, which I also visited. Anyone who came in, could take out anything they fancied. I was there, too.

Another model for peaceful and powerful revolution is Mohandas Mahatma Ghandi. The United States progressive population is not suffering enough to do the massive scale of Ghandi's leadership of boycotting all British made clothing, and spin/weave/sew one's own. But what we can do is use the power of the boycott in a smaller way. My idea is this: one day each week, from now until Trump and the other right wing Republicans are out of out Federal government) all progressives should boycott/not buy ANYTHING MADE FROM PETROLEUM PRODUCTS. No gas/oil for your car; no plastics, including polyester or nylon clothing, etc. One day, every week. We'd need to carefully agree on which day -- probably not on Saturday or Sunday. For some, this would be an easy thing to do. For others, a small hardship, such as people who live in small communities with no public transit.

If you have not seen the movie about the peaceful revolution in Yugoslavia that overthrew Slobodan Milocevic, that's a must-see. How the students organized the entire country; how the managed to vote; how they monitored the voting places; and how they ousted Milocevic from the presidential palace, when he refused to step down.

Stop being a Pussy and Institute Direct Action. 12.Nov.2016 18:39

Peaceful, Schmeful.

You are in a War, that "They" have been winning for 100 years.

Targeted Direct action against Agencies, Law-Enforcement, Judicial Bodies, Private Sector and Government.

If they fucked you, mark their property, and encourage that "All" People stop doing business with them.

Make a List, and Check it Twice. Make a Second List of businesses that treat you fairly, and spend your

money there. Starve out the greed, trouble makers, fine issuers, Tax collectors, and those who exercise

excessive Security options against ordinary citizens trying to survive a dismal economy.

It's your turn to hand out traffic tickets. Let's make it as expensive as possible until they find it

un-affordable.

The Red 'X' Society

'Blockade' the Driveways of the Top 25 TV News Markets. Use People, Trucks, Abandon Junk Vehicles or
Barriers until they explain what the fucking hell they have done to this Country.

Here's the Mark. It doesn't matter your Color, Wealth, or Religious Political Affiliation.

If they fucked you over at anytime in History, it's fucking Payback Time. Make it Expensive!

No Protest Calendar 15.Nov.2016 19:14

There is no good website for peace/protest/education against Trump events in Portland. Terrible. How can you ask people to get involved when we do not know when or where? Would some of you Techie people in Portland donate your time to a few good websites that can handle all of the information that is needed to organize. We are losing time while people are complaining about their poor lost election. Let's Go!!
