History & Strategy of German Antifascism
The latest rise of fascist movements and parties has once again made it clear: organized antifascist resistance is necessary. In order to successfully intervene and stop fascism from spreading, it is useful to take a look at the different experiences built from movements in other countries. Particularly the history of the Antifa movement in Germany has to offer a lot of different approaches and experiences.
The speakers, who are organized in the "ums Ganze!" Bündnis and have been part of antifascist initiatives and organizations for over 10 years, present the major strategies, struggles, and theories of the „Antifaschistische Aktion" from 1932 to the present. Afterwards, we hope to have a discussion about the lessons for the movement today, going forwards in 2018 and share our experiences as activists.
