JBLM Soldier Arrested in Oregon
JBLM uses false police reports to cause Oregon police to arrest AWOL soldier.

Christopher Lee Gardner deserted his post at Joint Base Lewis-McChord after being targeted and continuously harassed [...]

The JBLMATO stated that Gardner was a potential homegrown violent extremist (HVE) because he had expressed disagreement with government policies and potential upcoming deployments. JBLM officials sent out a state-wide bulletin claiming that Gardner was armed and dangerous - a common practice to get civilian police agencies to apprehend military deserters - although there was not any evidence that Gardner actually posed a threat to himself or others.

No Fair is Fair
This was my first protest I have been to in a long time. I went cause of what is happening around the world right now and a new class consciousness emerging we have not had a class consciousness in this country in a long time. When I arrived there were a few young people dressed in black standing on the edge of pioneer square. After a few minutes more continued to arrive I would say a few dozen came. One participant asked me if I had a mask I said I did and thanked them for their concern. There was some right wing agitators and trolls but many people came up and asked me what was happening and I told them the best I could, but they needed to talk to the Youth Liberation Front. Seriously a great group of youth dedicated and passionate. After being there for a while I had to leave afterwards they marched on trimet and took free ride.

Say no to Trimet cops they way to fund trimet is to not criminalize the poor!

Portland Copwatch: FOLLOW-UP: The City/PPB still don't understand the text scandal
Portland Copwatch wishes to express concern with the conclusions being
drawn from the follow up on the Lt. Niiya texting scandal. The
investigation has cleared Niiya of violating Bureau policy. The Mayor
and Chief are claiming that new training for officers to act as liaisons
in crowd situations led to the "success" of the August 17 proto-fascist
/ anti-fascist demonstrations. [...]

The lesson the City and Police still have to learn is that the First
Amendment doesn't contemplate negative repercussions from the state for
those who refuse to communicate when they exercise their rights, nor
does it grant privileges to those who do talk with the authorities. [...]

KBOO Members Demand Resignation of Prez, VP
For misappropriation of funds, intimidation of Staff, and creating an oppressive atmosphere at the Station....

Last night, the KBOO Board room was, for the fourth month running, full of concerned KBOO members seeking explanations and remedies from the Board for the crisis at the Station. The Board, however, was not present. The explanation was that it was not possible to get a legal quorum, as so many Board members were out of town. Instead, there was a general discussion touching on the current crisis, and a consensus was reached to demand that the President and Vice President step down, or failing that, follow bylaws legal requirements in the wake of the successful petition to set up a Special Membership Meeting to force their resignation.

To sign the petition (if you are a KBOO member in good standing), follow this link:

In a letter to Portland area residents, released today,, Extinction Rebellion PDX announced it will hold a rally at 12:00 noon, this coming Friday, June 21, 2019, at Terry Schrunk Plaza, in Portland, to declare a "climate emergency" and call for mass disruption of business-as-usual, as a last ditch effort to force action on the climate change crisis.

Save the Downtown Food Carts! Letter to Mayor Wheeler and the Portland Commissioners
A desolate parking lot became vibrant food carts two decades ago! Building a 35-story 5-star hotel is an out-of-scale monstrosity that will disable downtown for years. Elected leaders are responsible to house and feed. Trump should resign gracefully like Nixon. City councils should resist Trump's cutting everything but the military! FDR built 170K public buildings, social security, and minimum wage? Have we fallen asleep? Are we being entertained to death?

Building a 35-story 5-star hotel is an out-of-scale monstrosity that will disable downtown for years. Similarly, building a baseball stadium on the Fremont bridge would turn driving and traffic into a nightmare. This would lead to epic traffic jams and people cursing baseball.

On the positive side, Portland could lead in resisting the Trump attacks on the poor, seniors, the disabled, children and students. The funds should be returned to HUD, Meals-on-Wheels, WIC, The Legal Corporation, Pell Grants, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and the Departments of Education and the EPA. The Great Unraveling provokes the Great Refusal. [...]

No more military intervention in Latin America!

We cannot be silent in the face of the latest U.S. aggression against the Venezuelan people.

Nicolás Maduro is the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, chosen twice by the people as part of an internationally observed electoral process. Since the 1998 election of Hugo Chávez, the United States has been relentless in its pursuit of regime change in Venezuela. With Donald Trump in the White House, these efforts have escalated to threats of all-out military violence, the plundering of billions of dollars in wealth from the Venezuelan people and pushing a multitude of outrageous lies in the global media.
