Politicans wasting tax breaks on business that don't create jobs, but reduce funding for human services and education.
George W. Bush lied us into the Iraqi War, but remains unpunished for his wrongdoing. Meanwhile, on the sports front, Raffy Palmeiro of the Baltimore Orioles has tested positive for steroids and been suspended for ten days. Yet, he told Congress he had never used steroids. Rep. Chris Shays said he was "extremely disappointed" about Palmeiro. If so, what should the response of Congress be to all of Bush's treachery? Think: Impeachment!

In a recent press release, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) called for horse lovers to come to the aid of America's wild horses and burros. While these animals do need your help, they must be saved from the BLM - not from the lands on which they have historically roamed. For over 30 years now, the agency responsible for protecting these national treasures has worked harder at undermining the 1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act than at the very task they were assigned.

Bring revolutionary clarity which is required to overcome and destroy counter revolutionary mass confusion, the product of the propaganda attacks and deceits of this current ruling system.
I'm an anarchist living in Vancouver, Canada, and I previously wrote to the Green Anarchy collective about issue #19 of the Green Anarchy journal, primarily out of concern over the uncritical inclusion of writings by former American Indian Movement (AIM) spokesperson John Trudell in that issue.
Dispacth from anarchist and political prisoner Jeff 'Free' Luers currently in his 63rd month of imprisonment.
A Recently published article entitled 'The Death of Environmentalism', by Michael Shellenberger, has caused a stir within the progressive community. The paper argues that because environmentalism consists of special interest groups, and the problem they wish to solve is so vast, that the project is doomed to fail. Shellenberger insists that this issue applies to a variety of activist groups and suggests "... organizing progressive movements and institutions around a broader vision and a set of common values." The following is an attempt, based on censored ideas, to answer this challenge.
Last weekend while at the coast, reaffermation of the degredation of our environment was everywhere. At the beach i found 2 common murres sitting on the beach waiting to die. Both looked healthy but woul'nt move when i went to pet them. Seems there's not enough plankton and krill in the sea to support their diet cuz the sea temperature has risen dramatically in the past year. Also at the Nehalem river my buddy and I both had nightmares while sleeping there. Usually when you're that far out in the woods you hear and see all sorts of wildlife. This place was dead. I heard like 2 frogs ribeting and saw 1 huge spider. The river was full of algae and like 70 degrees!!! When we fuck with nature and pollute it and cement it over, gruesome awful creatures will arise out of that muck. I think the bible says something about how when Judement day comes, evil creatures will rise out from under the earth and torture and mutilate everyone. Serves us right huh?
...Oh! Nothing new... youknow, SOS, we passed 1,800 dead in US and probably well over 100,000 in Iraq and probably well over 5,000,000 green ones in the dick's pocket... same old same old...
Wow! Is that figure from war all over the world? Nope. That is just deaths from vehicles on American roads this past year. The article actually sounds upbeat that the figure went down from last year. Hooray! It just disgusts me to no end that we allow our roads to run red with the blood of our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and children. And somehow this is acceptable to us as a society? It's like that law that just passed that allowing gun dealers to sell guns in an irresponsible manner and we can't sue the gun makers for their negligence. Man this country has gone beyond wacko! I'm looking into escaping into Canada. Is that tunnel still open?Good luck everyone! You'll need it.
Changes are afoot in the mainstream labor movement. Are they enough?
NEWSWEEK: The Bush administration has made marijuana the major focus of its anti-drug efforts, both because there are so many users (an estimated 15 million Americans) and because it considers pot a "gateway" to the use of harder substances. "If we can get a child to 20 without using marijuana, there is a 98 percent chance that the child will never become addicted to any drug," says White House Deputy Drug Czar Scott Burns, of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. "While it may come across as an overemphasis on marijuana, you don't wake up when you're 25 and say, 'I want to slam meth!' " But those fighting on the front lines say the White House is out of touch. "It hurts the federal government's credibility when they say marijuana is the No. 1 priority," says Deputy District Attorney Mark McDonnell, head of narcotics in Portland, Ore., which has been especially hard hit. Meth, he says, "is an epidemic and a crisis unprecedented."
Oregon secession, not "Cascadia".
Your revolutionary columnist strikes again...Thought for today...There is only one force on earth that can hijack and destroy a revolution and that is 'progressive thought' and union leaders. If anyone wants to know how some idiot like Hitler was able to beat a revolution, there is your answer.

-- A response to Jennifer Whitney's article on indymedia, which can be found here
The spirit of critique and wanting to help move indymedia forward is something I really appreciate. However, Jennifer Whitney's article, "The Good, The Bad, & (sic) The Ugly: "What's the Matter with Indymedia?" is one part critique, and two parts personal axe grinding, three parts "Ra! Ra! UC, NYC, 501-c(3) IMC" . Beyond the fact that the article is so deliberately misleading in many ways, it should be critiqued on the facts and arguments that it proposes about editorial policy and the mission of indymedia. To its credit, this article raises some of the right types of questions about indymedia's effectiveness and methods, but to its detriment, gives all the wrong answers. Rather, it gives short sighted answers or all the same 'ol answers.
The real story behind the leering Teele headlines was the ex-commissioner's "life-death struggle with the Florida sugar industry, which has continued for 10 years to violate a court-order to stop polluting the Everglades with fertilizer run-off from its 660,000 acres of sugar farms,"
Here we are. 2 years deep in the latest war, 4 years since 9/11, 6 years
since the Seattle shut down of the WTO, where do I start?
I recently returned to the U.S. from the G8 protests in Scotland. Having
stayed at Sterling Camp, I got to meet lots of international anarchists
and global justice activists and share critiques, feelings, successes,
stories, and knowledge with many of them. We learned a lot from each other
and shared an experience that was both positive for us as individuals and
strengthening for us as a group.
After the G8 protests, lots of people we're asking "Are you gonna be in
Russia?" in reference to next year's G8 meeting in St. Petersburg. The way
folks asked this question made me question where our heads are at this
point in time, if we are still thinking in terms of global change and
compassion for people and planet, or if we are trapped in a game between
us and our worthy adversary. Are we really just going wherever they go and
has this movement become focused on making sure they have a bad time in
This was a stroke of courageous beauty amidst the backdrop of the ugly rise of what has the disturbing appearance of corporate/ bourgeois state tyranny. And there are many more. Watch for them, nurture them and protect them. They are our friends and allies.
Thought I would stop by, have a chat with people, whenever I get near a computer that actually still works, now that mine doesn't work anymore...I knew that something was coming and I thought it would be Indymedia getting their computer knocked down and here it turned out to be me the whole time....
CAFTA was first approved in the Senate a few weeks ago when 10 neoliberal Democrats crossed over to support Bush's obtuse trade legislation, which slipped by with a 55-45 vote. Twelve Senate Republicans opposed the bill. It was California's liberal Dianne Feinstein and Oregon's Ron Wyden who led the way in Democratic support for the legislation. Had the Democrats opposed the agreement in the Senate, CAFTA would have been defeated. But the Dems support for CAFTA in the Senate and now the House of Representatives has handed Bush a major victory.

"By the principle of relativity, there is no way for an observer on the train of planet earth to detect any influence on the train's motion. If the clock of an individual were to fall out of synchronization, this would be a noticeable influence."
What do you think about the repugs slipping in a 30 page document to the Defense Bill that gives Halliburton even more of your tax dollars?
In the same way that comprehensive tests are required for members of the CIA, FBI, etc, a new law should be established requiring all nationally elected officials to submit to thorough and validated testing of mental faculties and background.
Why are the same flaws appearing that led to the Discovery disaster. Do we lack a Richard Feynman to point out the obvious?
Bush is poised to appoint ultra-hawk John Bolton as "ambassador" to the United Nations, an organization he hates. Why?
This article traces the roots of Fascism, through the Bush dynasty, back to the Nazis and their roots in the Inquisition. The "New World Order " is an old project of the world's elite facilitated by a coup d etat in Dallas. George Bush senior was one of its leaders. Since then, some of the CIA became home to many Nazis.
The anthrax attack remains unsolved, even though evidence shows it CAME FROM a U.S. MILITARY Base. The most likely suspect, Dr. Zack was covered up by major media.
If followed up, this story would unravel the Official 911 theory, and the administration.
The least expensive divorce in Miami, Florida costs $414. Many poor people cannot afford this. What do they do?
At 2,400 pages, the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) isn't really about trade. Frankly, you don't need 2,400 pages to eliminate tariffs and regulations on exports and imports. But, you might need 2,400 pages to smuggle through a new set of transnational corporate rights disguised by complicated legalese. I wonder, how many of our Congressional representatives will have even attempted to read this trade to me before next week's vote?
The US government has blocked and seized humanitarian aid destined for hurricane-swept Cuba, even as Congress approved cementing Central America and the Dominican Republic with DR-CAFTA (Dominican Republic - Central America Free Trade Agreement.) It is time for the US public to consider what it means to be a good neighbor and demand that the US government comply.
OK Bob. We could sorta handle Victoria's Secret. A shot of fresh sex appeal for an aging icon is a routine showbiz move. Sex and Rock & Roll go together (what else is new?). BUT THIS IS TOO DAMNED MUCH.
A financial animal rights project will lead the cosmetic medical industry to compassion by showing superior profits from using very pc animal welfare education as a marketing tool for FDA approved, equally profitable and effective treatments and equippment. Just ask Revlon. Since 1990, consumers have chosen cruelty-free whenver given a choice that requires no sacrifice. BOTOX, laser treatments and chemical peels are next. This project is the Robin Hood of Animal Rights.
Here's what congress is planning on giving away to halliburton and sugerland, texas, $1.5 (B)illion. Your hard earned tax dollars handed out to the likes of halliburton, the war profitier.
As I watched the two short video clips, then went over to another site to see george w. bush give the F---ger to the camera when he was either running for governor of texas, or was governor and drew my conclusions. Now it's your turn to decide!
I have watched the video and drawn my own conclusions, now it is your turn!
Here's the link to watch the video's. There are two different one's:

"You'd arrest him [Ian Blair] for treason. Right?
Because he is making FALSE ALLEGATIONS in a huge CRIMINAL

While the split may have been an ego thing, it still could open the way for more important debates about the future direction of the U.S. labor movement. ----------------
Who believes that Bernie Giusto has got to go?
So what am I going to do with you, turd blossom?
The big corporations have their own goals and interests. It's not really accurate to say that mainstream media speak on their behalf. It's more to the point to say that they are one and the same.

Round 3 continues with another loaded pistol...By the way, my previous unsigned post was titled 'Vive The Bolivian Revolution'
We can all agree that the AFL-CIO, and business unionism in general, is a dead-end for the working class in North America. We need a new international labor movement; one that is based on workers' self-organization and on the recognition of the inevitable conflict between labor and capital.

Ok, before you go ape-shit, listen for a moment. By picking one wal-mart in the area it would be a perfect way to infiltrate it from the inside and demand unionization. Think of the publicity!
TicketMaster and TicketsWest in particular have a stranglehold on shows in Portland. They sign lucrative contracts with area venues so that there is no other way to purchase entry, with up to 50% extra service charges. Read on to learn more and copy a letter to send, protesting this practise.
Anarchists seem to have one of two responses to the Panthers: they will either denounce them for their authoritarianism or celebrate them for their insurgency. In fact the Panthers were a mix of both communitarian and authoritarian elements, which need untangling ...
During the very close 2004 presidential election, the Catholic Bishops did everything but officially endorse the ultra-War Hawk, George W. Bush, Jr. I suspect, but I can't prove, that "a devil's pact" was hatched between the clerics and the Bush-Cheney Gang. The clerics would push for Bush's victory and he would oppose abortions and appoint an anti-choice judge to the Supreme Court at the first opportunity. Is John G. Roberts, Jr. that jurist?
These things bug the shit out of me.
A vote was taken and the first paper victory was scored by the paper states. The Green Party which is officially recognized by the State of Utah was expelled in favor of a Green Party which has less than 10 members! Another paper state was created.
Do yourself a favor! Avoid the US media like The New York Times like the plague!!
