John Sweeney, President of AFL-CIO On 09/12/05, a rally was held in Washington, D.C., in solidarity with the 5,500 Canadian Media Guild (CMG) members, who have been locked out of their jobs. Linda Foley, President of the TNG-CWA; Larry Cohen of the CWA; and John Sweeney, President of the AFL-CIO, all blasted the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) for their deplorable tactics. They then presented letters of support for the CMG to an Embassy of Canada official.

No new refineries have been built in the United States for some 30 years. But the absence of these refineries implicitly concedes the broader case made by those in the "Peak Oil" camp: after all, why invest billions if the underlying resource to be refined is rapidly depleting in any event?

Along Baltimore City’s Peace Path
Peace On 09/11/05, demonstrators in Baltimore City turned out to protest rabid militarism and the Iraqi War. If this action also leads political hack, Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski (D-MD), to speak out against the Iraqi War and to stop funding it, it will be a huge success! Her priority has been to give tens of billions of taxpayers' money to Israel, while the Chesapeake Bay is dying from "dead zones," and the levees at N.O. were in desperate need of repairs.

Original Sin - the doctrine of Social Reaction
The doctrine of 'sin' was first introduced by ancient Jewish priests, who required an ideological justification for the practice of genocide. However this formative development in the ideology of imperialism was imperfect, in that the doctrine of sin leaves open the possibility of social criticism. The doctrine of 'orgiinal sin', which was the novelty contributed by Christian priests eliminates this problem, and resulted in the creation of the perfect imperialist doctrine.

Impeach Bush NOW! 10.09.2005 00:46
Will Bush's buddy Robert Waltrip's SCI be in charge of "treating the dead with dignity"?
Bush lied under oath to cover for his cronie Waltrip, head of the largest funeral corporation in the U.S. investigated and sued for systematically digging up and desecrating dead bodies to make repeat or multiple use of the same burial locations. Now FEMA wants the media to take no photos of the dead bodies to respect their dignity? Hardly. More likely to cover up the number of the dead and the manner in which they died. New Orleans being locked down will make it easy to destroy any evidence of wrongdoing by local, state and federal officials and law enforcement.

Sin - the ideology of the Military Industrial Complex (BKH)
Theology has evolved throughout history as a tool for military recruitment, and as the justification for the existence of both the military and of the expansionist imperialist empires which are created and then supported by the military. Thus the collapse of religion threatens both the future of imperialistic capitalism but also the survival of the military industrial complex.

New Orleans becomes a war zone- A dress rehearsal for martial law?
The disaster that struck New Orleans and the southern Gulf Coast has given rise to the largest military mobilization in modern history on US soil. Nearly 65,000 US military personnel are now deployed in disaster area, transforming the devastated port city into a war zone.

Squads of combat-equipped troops toting assault rifles and columns of humvees with gunners at the ready crisscross its flooded streets. Soldiers with bayonets mounted have begun house-to-house canvassing of the city to enforce the complete removal of its civilian population.

An organization capable of overthrowing the system of imperialist

transparent and long-term collaboration between serious activists
can:

(1) organize a decisive break from the
confinement of liberal-imperialist politics,
(2) mobilize the masses in their millions and
(3) chart the couse forward to a world without
