Christie/Hugh Hefner: Too "Ugly" for Playboy
Christie Hefner - too Hugh Hefner and his newest, replaceable, bleached blonde, silicon-filled, very white "girl" concubines, are promoting a new "reality" TV show called, "The Girls Next Door." It makes me really sick to watch this man basically act like Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater, of fairy tale fame. What is it about women of color, about women over 20, about smart, educated women, that frightens Hugh so? And Christie Hefner is apparently too "ugly" to grace the magazine pics...

Opportunity Knocks for the Green Party
The Maryland Green Party President George W. Bush's approval numbers are falling faster than the values of Ken Lay's Enron stock. Nationwide, Bush is at 39 percent, while in Maryland, he has dipped further to 33 percent. As Bush's goes, so goes the GOP. It's time for the Green Party to make its move. The Democrats are part of the corrupt Two-Party duopoly. The country needs an alternative. In MD, Kevin Zeese is running as a Green Party candidate for the U.S. Senate.

I saw this French film years ago, but have been re-watching such films of late, seeing that i have a very different take on them than when i was much younger. MASS DEATH in Pakistan
The official death toll from the Pakistan earthquake jumped to 73,000 on November 2nd while we were marching against Bush. The U.N. has asked the global community for $550 million in further aid for relief efforts in the region as many injured are still isolated in remote places dying slow and horrible deaths. So far only 131 million has been pledged and I do not have the words to express the outrage and depression this fact fills me with.

Cops, gangmembers, and low intensity war games: R U statecraft illiterate?
The idea that western society is a 'chain-of-command' society and that the low intensity wars that happen here are played out by pawns of those wars appears to be a way of seeing what few seem to consider. To see this is to begin to not only understand why the feds have worked so hard to shut down and undermine the IMC projects (because we have here the *threat of a good example*) but also build a basis on which to envision truly serious alternatives.

Getting singled out for being wealthy?
I'm smart. I made a business that runs itself and supports me today. I live like a happy go lucky trust fund kid, only I made my own fund. For the sake of anonymity I'm not going to say exactly what the business is but I feel strongly that it doesn't have any moral, social or environmental consequences, but of course your analysis may vary. Also I don't need any competition, LOL.

Now that I don't have to work anymore I'm thinking of getting back into the activist scene, something I dropped out of for a bit when I was working 90 hour weeks between a real job and my business.

I am not a millionaire, just secure enough to not need to work. I look REALLY good on paper. I have a few questions.

When you are arrested, do they ask what you do?
Would I be likely to be treated differently because I am retired in my 20s? (held longer, bigger fines, etc..)
Is it likely that a database is pulled up that would show my assets and make the police think I am not who I said I am?

Also I just wanted to let everyone know that class is not necessarily determined by income. I was raised DIRT poor. We never went hungry but we did eat only food box cheerios for days and days on end. I feel a class war brewing in this country and its not going to be successful if the people who made it are going to automatically be put on the other side of the fence.

Digging Deeper: Why No Conspiracy Count for Libby?
Cheney, Bush & Rummy The pre-Iraqi War intelligence was "fixed around the policy," according to the Downing St. Memos. The perjury case of Irving "Scooter" Libby, Dick Cheney's gofer, is only one small piece of the scheme to lie the country into war. Special Counsel Fitzgerald failed to use a conspiracy count against Libby, but he didn't hesitate to do so in the Khaled Dumeisi case. Why the double standard? The Congress must get to the bottom of this cover-up.
