Why Does AKPRESS Only Publish/Promote Men?
HEY AK PRESS ~ NEWS FLASH: Women are OVER 50% of the population. If you are calling yourself "anarchists" and you are promoting 95-100% men, then either 1) anarchy is a male heaven and a woman's hell which is nothing liberating or new, or 2) AKPress is full of shit. Either way, I call AKPress out for their male-exclusive bullshit right now. Either publish 50% women, or SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT EQUALITY and inclusion politics.

Peeling The Wallpaper: Women, Sexism and Insanity
In 1913, Charlotte Perkins Gilman wrote an essay entitled, "Why I wrote "The Yellow Wallpaper."" She outlines things said to her by males of the time, telling her to limit her intellect to two hours a day, and to not touch a pen or paper to write. She explains how that almost drove her crazy in her classic essay, The Yellow Wallpaper. I think this issue is still relevant today...

Towards a More Current Anarchism - Qritique & Commentary
"Towards a more current anarchism" is a brief essay that looks into the pertinence and effectiveness of modern day North Amaerican anarchism, and its movement, as a force for liberation- bringing to light some nagging deficiencies and offering hopeful suggestions focusing on relationality, sustainability and revolutionary dual power.

I understand and regret the fact that NOBODY on IMC tends to take the time and read a whole piece, most ALL of us just kind of breifly look through or skip ahead. That practice will make it hard to take anything meaningful from this...

Unfortunately I do not want to take the time to go through and HTML everything that was italicized or spaced in a specific fashion- keep this in mind, some meaning may be lost but hopefuly not too much.

More Insights into the Bush-Cheney-Vatican lie machine
The first version of this holiday gift was delivered December 23-25 to various Indymedia.org sites worldwide. This New Year's adjunct sharpens the vision, so compare and contrast, both are valid and complimentary! The next four paragraphs offer a purposely verbose verifiable seal of authenticity, that will be further validated in space-time. Understand clearly, the sage's stone is a multi-dimensional unique key. Purposeful misuse leads to great peril. Pay very close attention to my instructions!

The Hitler Youth Movement succeeded in brainwashing an entire generation of German children with the Nazi ideology of racial and national superiority. Law School As Activist Revenge
We need to go to law school. As activists, we are absolutely dependent on an industry of law that we know very little about & have very little influence in. Prison is serious stuff and to have so little available help within our own ranks is not acceptable or safe. Our friends and lovers are shuffled around in a system that leaves them wondering what they were actually charged with and/or convicted of and what exactly the evidence against them was...this must stop.

"I spy," Big Brother, on the other end of the phone or Internet line. "I spy," Joseph McCarthy and the FBI on witch hunts. "I spy" an entire governmental agency, poking into the files and personal business, of anyone voicing dissent to their imperialistic war. And our government is not holding back many secrets in their search this time, instead of "communists," their just wanting possible "terrorists." Not to worry, the average person has nothing to hide; "our government is here to serve us, after all." This is at least what our administration would like us to think.

Jake the Snake is FBI
Like many of us in Cascadia, my thoughts during the last month of 2005 turned constantly to those imprisoned for alleged Earth Liberation Front (ELF) arsons. Isolated, intimidated, ripped from everything they love, deprived of all but the minimum for survival, the question resounds: why? Why? WHY?

As the initial tumult subsides, the answer has become increasingly clear. The reason why many have been subpoenaed, six have been jailed, one of those jailed has taken his life and a community has been shaken to the core is this: Jacob Ferguson.

Cheap Food and Privilege/ Using Food As A Weapon
It is an established fact that we can grow enough food on Earth to eliminate hunger. The issue is distribution of food, not the production of food. The issue of distribution is undermined by capitalism and political power struggles that play out in the economics of the daily life of the poor. I have had food issues my whole life from institutional food in protective custody, to foster families' food, to dry milk at the end of the month, free lunches & food stamps.

Once people have learned how to disengage their SOULS when being abused by the powers that be, the powers that be lose traction rapidly. Mix this lack of fear & righteous hatred of abusive authority, with some hopelessness & nothing left to lose, and you have raw power. This is the cocktail that Bush has brewed for the world.

The Roman Colosseum President George W. Bush took the country into the Iraqi War based on a policy of lies. It has cost the lives of an estimated 30,000 to 100,000 Iraqis.
