Gerry Adams & Co. Turn Backs On The Hunger Strikers
"The bogus claim made by the Provos that the Stormont Agreement of 1998 was a logical succession to the hunger-strike deaths of 1981 was equivalent to the Free Staters' assertion that the 26-County State arose out of the Easter Rising of 1916," said the President of Republican Sinn Féin, at a 25th anniversary commemoration of the death of hunger-striker Raymond McCreesh at his grave in Camloch, south Armagh on Sunday, May 21.

Secretary of State Audit Finds Contracting Out More Expensive
Ron Saxton, as governor, proposes to privatize some of the functions now performed by state employees. He tells the voters this action would reduce taxes. In reality, it costs the tax payers more money privatizing government duties than having state employees do the work. The work done by the private sector is usually done poorly where a state employee could have done better work. In some cases, state employees have to review or audit the private sector's work, which would have been cheaper if the state employees did it their own. Here is an article to support my rant.

Should Noam Chomsky Reset His Compass?
Imperial Ambitions Noam Chomsky was interviewed for the 2005 book, "Imperial Ambitions." In it, he addressed the Iraqi War, but he failed to take on the hawkish Neocons. Chomsky said the war was about the "control of oil." He also ignored the influential Israeli Lobby's role in agitating for the conflict. In the introduction, a colleague said that he "misses nothing." Question: How can that be true, if Chomsky missed the six ton elephant in the room - the Israeli Lobby?

Crime Scene at the White House On May 18, 2006, activists attempted to deliver a "Don't Attack Iran" Petition, which was signed by over 43,000 individuals, to a White House official. President Chavez speaks the truth, President Bush can't recognize it.
The more I am allowed to hear about President Chavez, the more I realize that the freedoms in his country are realized by the people. They are only words on a page here in the United States, we the citizens are not allowed to enjoy those freedoms, just to die for them. Sort of like the carrot on a stick. The prize, freedom is always just out of reach for the ordinary man.

the slippery slope toward corporate fascism and complete loss of citizen input.
The analogy is, just as the glaciers are said to possibly melt in three blinks of an eye... that we know there is some melting now, and as their cold water pours into the tidal swirl it compounds itself exponentially, changing the dynamic of the ocean and the weather that follows...

Forget the weather. We don't use machines to change the weather (directly:)

We all know climate change is simply a symptom. BUT, my insight herein stops far short of environmental worrys.

The WHACKO NEO-Bush Administration has a year and a half to ensure the voting booths continue toward corruption, and the elite reinforce their lock on American citizins under the guise of "protection".

he can purchase food and toiletries. It has been very difficult to send him a lot
of money because of my financial situation. Thank you to everyone that has given me and my husband support in this tough time. We are still in need of any financial support possible. He will be out sometime before July 22, 2006, and the specific release date is not known yet.
