Maybe We Should Have Three Thousand Memorials
Originally, I was going to post this as a comment on the article entitled "Memorial Service planned for the announcement of 3,000 US troop death in Iraq", but ... maybe posting it here is more appropriate.

Democrats Prepare to Fund Longer War
This last Sunday Harry Reid, the incoming Democratic majority leader in the US Senate, went on ABC's Sunday morning show and declared that a hike in U.S. troops in Iraq is okay with him.

Here's the evolution of the Democrats' war platform since November 7, 2006, the day the voters presented a clear mandate: "End the war! Get out of Iraq!" and took the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives away from the Republicans.

Mt. Hood "Tragedy" - Is Bourgeois Press Encouraging Belief In Wilderness Rescue Miracles?
Little has been said about the wisdom of their decision to attempt to scale one of the tallest mountains in the Cascade Range during the worst time of the year for such an adventure. I realize that the families of the victims are holding out hope that their loved ones will be found to have survived the hellish conditions they encountered this week; I do not wish to add to their suffering by publishing this article. It is in the interest of preventing the loss of lives in the future that I present this piece, as my research into this tragedy has turned up some very interesting information regarding the quality of information available to the public regarding weather conditions in the region, and the facilities available to those who attempt to scale these very dangerous peaks.

Cliques Retard Growth
On the side of a building next to the Pdx bus depot, these words were painted on the side of a building, in 5 foot high letters: "CLIQUES RETARD GROWTH." Cliques *DO* retard growth. Hippies get mad at my anarchist tendencies. Anarchists get angry at my feminist leanings. The feminists are angered by my class politics...Clique mentality has undermined solidarity within the anarchy, prisoner rights, and environmental defense communities, as well as other circles.

It should be evident by now that the mainstream media are in no hurry to break the bad news to the masses. Which is why it is up to culture jammers like Weird Al to create entertainment that informs, educates, convinces, and get's people to act.

Christians Protest Halloween Then Push for Christmas
Recently a Rabbi asked the Sea-Tac Airport to display an 8 ft. menorah alongside the 8 large Christmas trees they had on display. The airport blew him off. He threatened to sue. The airport went to the local media and made the Rabbi out to be a Grinch. Outraged Christians lodged 500+ complaints and threatened the Rabbi. Under pressure, the Rabbi said he would not sue so they have now put the 8 trees back up...but what about the menorah? Christian privilege gets old.

The following is a critique of the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) report on the World Trade Center (WTC) collapse. The 43 volume NIST report was the result of a 3 year investigation, and was released in September 2005. It remains the official US government explanation for why the WTC collapsed on 9/11. As you are about to discover, the report fails to withstand scrutiny. There is no doubt that the NIST investigation was politically controlled by limiting its scope. His death does not mark the end of Pinochetism. People are declaring themselves admirers of his work. Some more shamefully than others, they declare themselves his admirers, his followers, his heirs. Pits are actually being murdered in many places in this country, just because of who they are. It's important to speak out about this, and so I did. I was shocked to find that readers of this site can be as bigoted as anyone when it comes to Rhodie and Romeo, the dogs that I love. So I want to share a story with you.
