Virginia Tech: Laying the Blame
There will be a lot of blame dished out in the aftermath of the Virginia Tech massacre. But one element will be missing and that is the system itself. Capitalism and the society it nurtures will remain unscathed in the big business press.

Farrakhan challenges the hip hop community
What is that a sign of for you today? You are the most courageous generation that we have ever had. You are the strongest generation that we have ever had. You are the most fearless generation that we have ever had, but your courage and your fearlessness are being used by the enemy so that you will destroy each other. When you pull the gun out, it makes you feel powerful, but the gun did not get you a following in China. The gun did not get you followers in Iran, Egypt, Ghana, and South Africa. It was the word. You do not need the gun to empower you, because the gun in the hand of an underdeveloped mind becomes an instrument of self-destruction. You have become now tools of a satanic mind that will use you to destroy your future.

Native Youth Movement Tooled by AIM,Inc and ideologically-challenged naivete?
here, an example of NYM stuck in the concrete of their own self-confined belief For many years there's been a storm of building hype in indigenous country (especially around the militant aspect of indigenous resistance), but of late, it's become more and more hyped-up in a most curious way, including character assasination attempts against long-time figures without contexts and empathy. All this appears to be having an effect of someone trying to drive a wedge between the vital experience (or praxis) of the elders, and the too often easily-exploited anger of youth just entering the movement. This time around it's centered on different conceptions about how to run a resistance, one swamped in ideology (and a short history of merits in direct action), the other having a long record of uncompromising defense of indigenous peoples who insist on their autonomy. This article goes thru, albeit roughly, some of the history of the building hype and ways in which movements are divided and conquered, and gives lessons about the remaining apparently easily-exploitable weaknesses of the radical movement today.

Don't blame Hip Hop for Imus's racism
Imus's sidekick, Sid Rosenberg and producer Bernard McGuirk, who was hired by Imus to do "N-word jokes," have gotten away with catering to one of the founding doctrines of U.S. society—white supremacy. Racism is a tool of the bosses used to create a privileged layer in society, to obfuscate and pit workers against other workers instead of fighting together against the owners and protectors of the capitalist mode of production.

Separatism becomes the only way to save U.S. ideals from the North American Union
The elite driven political-military-industrial complex is pursuing an agenda to create a North American Union (NAU), in which capitalism can flourish, without being interfered with by the democratic aspirations of "ordinary Americans". NAU is essentially a project to create a new continental government run by elites, "freed" of having their commercial profits "improperly dampened" by labour rights "inconveniences" like minimum wages, other basic human rights considerations, or environmental protection legislation. States and other local organizations have passed resolutions against the NAU agenda. Anti-NAU resolutions have reportedly been launched by states which include Arizona, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, South Dakota, Illinois, Tennessee, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Georgia. However, these resolutions have no effective constitutional authority, relative to elite interests that seek via their influence over the central government, to create a "super-state", which is not inspired by democracy. As a result, the only effective way which Americans can protect the spirit which lies within local communities across the nation, is to at least "temporarily" become democratically-inspired independent countries.

Art and the Oaxaca Commune
At a time when many US citizens feel powerless to stop the criminal direction of 'their' government, the examples of revolutionary movements elsewhere give not only hope, but practical education towards organizing a society where humans outrank profit on the list of social priorities.

The 'Oaxaca Commune' in Mexico is such an example. For three months, the Mexican state of Oaxaca was controlled by a people's 'popular assembly' that took rapid measures in ousting the corrupt state government and its accomplices within the media and police.

The Mexican federal government has since taken severe action in repressing this popular movement, but further organizing and revolutionary momentum has already begun. The huge successes of the movement and its continued political evolution should thus be an inspiration for all those interested in social progress.

Capitalism and the Attack on Public Education
During the past several decades, government funding for public education at all levels has declined and in some cases plummeted, leaving students languishing in overcrowded classrooms, housed in dilapidated buildings. An examination into why this is happening offers a glimpse into the ugly mechanisms that fuel capitalism in its onward quest to plunge us all into a state of unmitigated barbarism.

We should note at the outset that a well educated citizenry is in everyone's interests. Those who are more educated are more economically productive, they are less likely to turn to crime (insofar as the entire capitalist system has not yet been formally declared as "criminal"), and they are more likely to enjoy a higher quality of life. The American public consistently registers strong support for public education.
