I like animals better than people
One Love - One Voice It's easy to get caught up in the rush and stress of day-to-day life. Never lose sight of what matters. Never stop fighting for and defending those among us who need help. Animals are at the mercy of mankind. Never stop caring. Look deep into the eyes of these beautiful animals and tell me what you see. How is it even possible for people to deny that they are soulful beings just the same as you or I? We are all one. What we do to them we do to ourselves. People need to wake up and be more conscious of their actions. End animal cruelty and abuse.

The lesser of two evils is still evil
Despite the fact that many on the "left" swore that they would no longer support the Democratic party, just like Pavlov's dog they surrender to the "Sierra club" mentality that says that "compromise" is a political reality that can not be ignored. So it seems that every four years as election day begins to draw near, supposedly outraged liberals and self proclaimed "progressives" begin the slow (but predictable) process of succumbing to the "lesser of two evils" logic as it pertains to their votes.

Like it or not, acknowledge it or not, Peak oil is here!
People can deny it all they want.
People can rationalize it all they want.
People can diminish it's implications all they want.
People can pretend that American ingenuity and the Free market will save us.

But one thing they can't pretend (with any credibility) is that we have not approached peak oil.

Every leading geologist agrees that there are no new untapped reserves of any real significance anywhere in the world. Of the untapped oil that remains, most of it is "tar sands" that are extremely expensive and environmentally destructive to extract.

Remember! Peak oil is not that there is no more oil left.
It means that demand has exceeded supply and that the days of cheap oil are gone.

The following article by Glen Morton examines the implications of peak oil and sheds some light into why the "powers that be" continue to ignore it.

America’s police brutality pandemic
Bush's "war on terror" quickly became Bush's war on Iraqi civilians. So far over one million Iraqi civilians have lost their lives because of Bush's invasion, and four million have been displaced. Iraq's infrastructure is in ruins. Disease is rampant. Normal life has disappeared.

Self-righteous Americans justify these monstrous crimes as necessary to ensure their own safety from terrorist attack. Yet, Americans are in far greater danger from their own police forces than they are from foreign terrorists. Ironically, Bush's "war on terror" has made Americans less safe at home by diminishing US civil liberties and turning an epidemic of US police brutality into a pandemic.

front cover of Cecil Bothwell's Book The Rev. Billy Graham, a darling of the Evangelical Right, has never seen a U.S. war that he couldn't bless. He once advocated that President Richard M. A new book, "The Prince of War: Billy Graham's Crusade for a Wholly Christian Empire," by Cecil Bothwell exposes the camera-mugging preacher as a serial warmonger.
