Energy deregulation may force wide scale distributed energy
In 1992 electricity began to be viewed less as an essential service and more as a commodity when deregulation was enacted with the passage of the Energy Policy Act. Previously, public and investor owned utilities controlled power generation, transmission and distribution within a set region. The Energy Policy Act, however, allowed for the trading of electricity over wide geographic areas, known as long distance "wheeling", to the highest bidder. The promise of deregulation was that competition in a free market would keep electric rates low.
Ironically, decentralizing may be forced by the consequences of energy deregulation and the free market theory so dependent upon centralization.

Ruling Against Mumia Shows: No Justice in the Capitalist Courts
On March 27, the U.S. appeals court in Philadelphia reaffirmed the frame-up conviction of Mumia Abu-Jamal, the former Black Panther Party spokesman and world-renowned radical journalist who has been locked up on Pennsylvania's death row for more than a quarter century. After previously rejecting Mumia's request to present evidence of his innocence, as well as a host of issues showing that he was railroaded by a racist court, the Court turned down Mumia's request for a new trial. It upheld the 2001 ruling by a federal district judge that ordered a new hearing on the sentence, but limited the "choice" to the living hell of life imprisonment without parole ... or execution. Mumia is innocent. He was declared guilty and sentenced to die because of his revolutionary politics and because for years he had been a thorn in the side of the racist rulers of the misnamed "city of brotherly love." Around the world, millions have come out in defense of Jamal. This latest ruling, like all those that preceded it, shows that the exploited and oppressed must have no faith in the racist injustice system. We call on the workers movement to mobilize its power to free Mumia now!

Alan Greenspan at the Feds: A Disaster for America
The Junk Yard The supposed financial guru, Alan Greenspan, was nominated to head the Federal Reserve, in 1987, by that union-bashing dunce, President Ronald Reagan. At his confirmation hearing, the late Sen. William Proxmire (D-WI), exposed the fact that Greenspan's economic forecasting record was "dismal" and "wrong" most of the time. In his book: "Greenspan's Bubbles," William A. Fleckenstein proves Sen. Proxmire's instincts were prophetic.

SECOND AMERICAN REVOLUTION VICTORY GUIDE
What drove me to write this and you to read?

I wrote in "The Two Americas" that there are actually two Americas; the beast, the imperial machine that culturally, economically and militarily dominates Earth-and the America the beast and it's minions have been steadfastly trying to kill... even as they use OUR America as a disguise, a foil, to commit all the atrocities that have been attributed to the United States.

The United States government stems from the Constitution that was created in 1787. The Constitution was NOT the first governing document of the United States-that honor goes to the Article of Confederation. The first government of America was a Confederacy; each state having nearly all the attributes of independent nations save for a Congress, a President, and a Navy. Needless to say that government was very constricted.

Those that came up with our Constitution were known as Federalists; they were the wealthiest, most educated of early Americans, and being "elite" they did not like the Articles restricting their power.

Neocon Jonah Goldberg Praises David Mamet
We the People at the U.S. Capitol How would you feel if that raving Neocon Jonah Goldberg praised you? Well, this is the position that lapsed liberal David Mamet, a knee jerk supporter of Israel, is in. Mamet endorsed a "Free Market" system and bashed NPR, as "National Palestinian Radio." In a rant for the Village Voice he explains his conversion to Conservatism and underscores how government should "get out of the way." Goldberg lionized him for rejecting "the pieties of the Left."

is Portland Police Bureau turning into a THUG CASTE?
with the latest rash of boorish thug behavior by certain "rogue elements" of the PDX PPB
over the past few days of legitimate protesting, and the fact they have NOT been neutralized
by the so-called "management" at City Hall or PPB, one is left to wonder if indeed there is a
definite plan afoot to allow these rogues to form the central core of a PPB THUG CASTE?

With antiwar-activists being arrested and then renditioned out of the country
as being reported at below link, one is left to ponder Portland PPB's role in all
of this mean-spirited skullduggery and whether or not we--as decent citizens
who abhor such behavior--can wrest back control from an out-of-control band
of idiots and force Potter, Rosie Sizer and the other erstwhile so-called "managers"
of this band of loose-cannon idiots to do their jobs and rein in this poor whitetrashy
element within PPB? Let us become fully aware of what is happening and then rise
up and hector Potter, et al into doing our bidding...

Forward by Fredric L. Rice 17.03.2008 11:02
FBI Remains America's Worst Domestic Terrorists
The FBI has always been the second worst domestic terrorist organization operating in the United States, second only to the CIA which operates a number of international terrorist training camps around the world.

The FBI works hand-in-hand with organized crime syndicates such as the Church of Scientology, and the CIA's history of being the single largest purchaser of cocaine in the world underscores the fact that the citizens of the world aren't even minimally being "served" or "protested" by our supposed law enforcement elites. Rather the FBI and the CIA serve solely to commit crimes against citizens for the financial benefit of corporations.

AT&T, Verizon, all the other telephone carrier companies which have committed treason against the United States continue to do so with immunity, and the FBI's crimes against us rank even worse than supposed "terrorists" that are allegedly trying to kill us all.

Ask yourself who has destroyed the supposedly inviolate ideals and laws of the United States: The Bush regime or vague Islamic extremists.

My opinions only and only my opinions.
