Faith, a manifesto : Part 3; A reason to have faith
In parts one and two of this manifesto on faith, I discussed examples of failed mysticism, using the examples of failed mysticism in the ancient Jewish and Christian traditions. My purpose in discussing this issue was to help prepare the ground for a discussion of certain very strange experiences I have had which are the seed bed of my faith in the future, while at the same time, hopefully, I can help people to avoid the pitfalls encountered when mystification is used to attempt to explain the unknown and the uncertain.

"What is 'MKULTRA'?" by Eleanor White
Before the current day harassment of citizens in their homes and
communities using advanced electronics began, secret programs of torture
were carried out by the U.S. Government for purposes of mind control.
These programs are often conversationally referred to as "MKULTRA",but
also included others such as MKNaomi, MKSearch, MKDelta, Matrix and
more, and were carried out throughout the Cold War.

Let's Mobilize Around the Draft Issue!!
You can hate my guts, all you want, but either way, in between that we should seriously and QUICKLY organize around the issue of a potential draft, LONG BEFORE IT COULD POSSIBLE HAPPEN. My suggestion is to hold a press conferance, and a demo, etc. This is very serious. The things coming out of the press in Russia on the matter are very bleak. We will feel really stupid and defeated if we do not aquire a bit of push and quickly on the matter. This can easily be made an international scandel, if done properly.

The PROWL Project is springing into action to bring new energy to forest conservation east of the Cascade crest. "PROWL" is the acronym for a nice long name: Protecting and Restoring Oregon Wild Lands. We are based in Bend and engage in forest watch and public outreach activities to protect the Ochoco and Deschutes National Forests. Our goal is to pounce on (and stop!) proposed public lands projects that are likely to degrade native ecosystems and to support ecological restoration.

Democrats need to consider the Rural vote
If we are to defeat the current administration we need to regain the heartland. It has been neglected because of the progressive platforms of GLBT and abortion rights issues. However, the rural voter will respond to ECONOMIC issues. We don't have to abandon our platforms to protect the rights of GLBT community and abortion rights, but we do need to talk about free trade treaties and loss of family farms in the heartland. The corruption and cronyism in no-bid war profiteering contracts will also find a sympathic ear in the heartland.--Posted by Jade12 Rural Organizing Project, Columbia County

The My Lai massacre in Vietnam was not an isolated incident. As this article illustrates, it is part of a strategy of counterinsurgency warfare, which intends to eliminate popular support for guerrillas by "shock and awe." It is still being mangaged and financed by the US all over the world. The starkest example is Colombia, where paramilitaries are using chainsaws to slowly torture, dimember and kill peasant farmers who support the guerrillas.

More Radical, Less Extreme: From Weatherman to the ELF
Violence is not the issue. I don't think it ever was. Not back in the day when the Weather Underground blew up toilets in the Capitol Building and not today as the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) flips out over SUVs and condominiums. Revolution isn't a leather-jacket tactic radicals adopt - it is a transformation of the whole society made by millions. It can be violent, but it's not about violence. And it's definitely not, as the old saying goes, a dinner party.

'Framing' refers to an overall narrative, a story, that is used to make logical sense of an issue. forget winning on the facts or the science. It's all about the story. It really isn't possible to counter-act the official CAFTA framing narrative using a partial or fragmented framing story which only focuses on 'what is wrong with CAFTA' since the CAFTA narrative is only one small part of a larger story.
