Breaking with Consensus Reality
Over the past years, anarchists have helped popularize the discourses of consent in interpersonal relationships as a way to counter rape culture, and consensus in political organizing as an anti-authoritarian approach to decision-making. Recently, however, we've seen the language of consent and consensus used to condemn direct action and delegitimize autonomous initiatives.

Does consent discourse offer a useful framework with which to evaluate direct action tactics and strategy? Can we challenge consensus reality effectively while respecting everyone's wishes? What's the relationship between desire and social transformation? This analysis grapples with these questions, exploring the limits of the politics of consent and proposing an alternative.

The Hunger Games: An Alternative Media Movie Review
This is not a typical movie review describing the movie, plot, characters, and themes, as well as celebritizing each actor by naming every other movie appeared in, etc., and yet have very "little" to say about how the movie might relate to real life. We will refer to an American writer, namely Chris Hedges, Pulitzer Prize winning author of several important books, to help contextual this movie. Herein we visit a few major "themes" as related to social and political issues in the real life of the audience as drama of human history including that as compares to ancient Rome.

Does George F. Will Argue Like a Weasel
Recently George Will wrote a column as to whom Mitt Romney might choose as his Vice President. Within the context of exaggerated hyperbole Will proposes Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan or Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. Thus this aging crank spent more time with blatant labeling of Obama (and the "entitlement state") rather than making much of a case for either of his choices. If cartoonist and author Scott Adams wrote a book on politicians then George Will's writing could easily inspire several chapters. What blowhard has written with more insinuation, illusion of spin logic, confusing sophistry, guilt by association, and whimsical vagary than this pretense of intellectual firepower? His political biases are almost always more prevalent than an ability to write clear and rational arguments.

Reflections on F29
The types of empowering actions we are calling for, which need to be generalized throughout the movement, are those that increase people's senses of power and possibility. Successfully defending a march from police attack, pushing back retreating lines of riot police, pushing through police lines: these are the types of experiences that people want to come back for. The next time we get 1,000 people in the streets, let's have it be more effective in moving us toward the development of a revolutionary movement. Let's have actions that people walk away from feeling empowered and inspired and worked up for the next! Let's create a movement that draws people into the long-haul project of creating a new society - not through lectures or parades, but through moments of the experience of the possibility of true freedom!

Mexico's drug war is increasingly being seen as a continental problem that requires continental solutions which is further pushing the NAFTA partnership into a common security front. "We only feel comfortable bringing up lynching and the Holocaust and epidemic gender and sexual violence because they are easy tools to appropriate. It's not a fair comparison not because nonhumans don't suffer, but because erasure of difference is not taken seriously and that does significant damage."

Lynch Law U.S.A.: State Defends Murderer of Trayvon Martin
Trayvon Martin Outrage over the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin compounds daily as the killer remains free, facing no criminal charges for gunning down the unarmed black youth from Miami Gardens, Florida. On February 26, George Zimmerman, a white self-appointed captain of a "neighborhood watch" team in a gated community in the Orlando suburb of Sanford, shot Martin, a black high-school student, who was returning to the home in the development where he and his father were staying. Police and local prosecutors never charged Zimmerman and accepted his cynical claim that he shot the unarmed youth in "self-defense." Thousands have demonstrated around the country, particularly after police tapes of 911 calls by Zimmerman were released, showing that he was stalking Martin. But the main thrust of liberals is to divert the protests into a movement for gun control laws and to get rid of "Stand Your Ground" laws such as Florida's which make it legal to shoot in self-defense. The ruling-class response deliberately tries to obscure the key fact that this was racist murder. Trayvon Martin was killed for the "crime" of "walking while black."

Chernobyl When Occupy started out last fall, the only thing I could think of is how poor a time fall is for a revolution. Humans follow the same patterns as plants, in fall the fruits of the year's growth have matured and are ready to be enjoyed, and winter is a time to take shelter and look within. Not the best time for an uprising. But Spring is a time to bloom forth and see a new light, as life burgeons all around us!
