How can a journalist refer to some views as facts when the source is an anonymous bloger that she has never met?
Important analysis of both Chomsky and the upcoming election
We live under a criminal regime. It is violating its own laws, violating the Constitution and waging war against its own citizens. Who will stand up and do something about it?

Is this true, or is it just "rumors"?
Of course you're going to register and vote in the Dem Primary, but i hope you're going to do more than that. Now is the time to be pro-active and get everyone you know registered to vote. Oh, yeah, better make sure they're informed as well. Be the media, provide your friends with info the mass media is not telling them.

A breaking story involving a recent religiously related court case cites a possible precedent which could allow Bu$co to simply exit in complete disgrace and receive treatment, rather than face incarceration for their most heinous crimes.
Nobody can claim that Italians are not civilized but Iraqis apparently must be brutal hordes. Not at all!
This station seems to offer a anti Bush Pro war slant
Commentary from The Detroit Free Press explains the threat from the right to overturn Roe v Wade. Bush signed this bill into law last week. The principle we must defend is that a woman has dominion over her own body that supercedes a fetus' right to birth. This is what Roe established.
The movement is moving in the direction to emphasize this principle. The April march for choice is now the "March to Save Women's Lives" and that is the issue. No rational woman wants to get pregnant and be forced into an abortion, legal or not. However, it is ultimately a woman's RIGHT to what happens to her body. Her body is not subject to the whims of a religious cult, or to men and women legislators or to an impregnator male. If the male is emotionally joined to her, or even to her fetus, she should/could (out of courtesy) discuss the issue with him, however, until he can actually carry the pregnancy to term in his body the choice is hers and hers alone. A woman's body is HERS.

The propaganda value of the Fallujah incident and a case for who the real barbarians are in Iraq.
What will my grandson's do when they grow up. Mercenaries make a lot of money. Targets of mercenaries die. Today duality looms horrible.
Seattle P-I's AP story, on the killing of James Perez, quoted robert king, pres of portland police association, that "this officer acted appropriately", referring to what jason sery did. Even tho king was not there, & the preliminary investigation was not over, king said that. So, apparently ppa has as an internal policy that motorists have 24 seconds to prove that they are unarmed before they are shot to death. Decent police officers should strongly dissent from that & get king out of office.
By Majdur Travail [Tucson, April 2, 2004] This letter is in response to the Poynter Institute's question as to whether or not the editor of an American newspaper should publish the photographs of the charred remains of the four US mercenaries killed in Fallujah March 31, 2004.
Poynter: Would you publish if the bodies were of American soldiers, rather than civilian workers? http://www.poynter.org/content/content_view.asp?id=63413

The propaganda value of the Fallujah incident and a case for who the real barbarians are in Iraq.
Here in the U.S., there must be a clear, powerful, unmistakable repudiation of everything represented by the Bush clique and their agenda.
It is up to the people to deny--to them, their agenda, and the powerful forces they serve--any right to claim they are acting and speaking for the people of the United States. It is up to the people to challenge their offensive, undermine their support, and prepare conditions to bring about a radically different future.
Yeah, lot's o' cops....
The claim that Gen.Vo Nguyen Giap said, if it weren't for organizations like Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S." is a lie.
What causes me to reconsider and retract is that I have heard Dennis Kucinich on the topic of Nader. Dennis has consistently refused to criticize Ralph in any way, going so far as to give Nader a ringing personal endorsement based on Kucinich's 30 years of finding Nader very supportive of every effort by Kucinich to oppose privatization and to support democracy and economic justice. Kucinich has stated that Nader was the ONLY national figure who joined with him in his battle to prevent the privatization of the Cleveland publicly-owned electric utility. Weighing the various reports on Nader, plus and minus, the Kucinich endorsement just has to tip the scale toward a favorable interpretation of Nader's history and a positive evaluation of his character.
Local channel KGW broadcast a photo of Jason Sery on their 6pm news broadcast this evening. The photo was probably taken while he was an officer in Montana. It accompanied a story about his service in Missoula, I think. Anyway, the same story ran at 11pm, but his photo had been blurred out.
take this corporate media editorial for what you will - investigators like http://www.cooperativeresearch.org, Michael Ruppert and others have previously revealed and confirmed this information, we already knew Clarke helped ship out the Bin Laden family on September 11, 2001 but -
what does it say about the current 9-11 'investigation'?
the tone of this piece is all wrong too - just an "equal time for Bush" or some such bullshit, while simultaneously pointing the finger at another glaringly obvious flaw in the official 9-11 fairy tale.
also expecting citizens not to ask the real questions: just let the Boston Herald define the "Clarke vs. Bush" parameters for you.
1. why did the PPD wait until 1:00 p.m. the following day to hold an exclusive, closed-to-the-public news conference?
2. what is the "white substance in a bag" supposedly found in James Perez' mouth, and why wasn't the autopsy team able to identify it?
3. "failure to signal" ?!? http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2004/03/284539.shtml
4. taser gun used AFTER Perez was already shot in the chest with multiple bullets ?!? BOTH officers firing separate weapons, at different times, at one victim ?!?
5. "no weapon was found in the vehicle."
Nader continues to garner the wretching hatred of the Democratic party for being a potential spoiler. He is called a narcisist and worse for even daring to run. Does this mean that everyone has forgotten what happened in 2000?
Unarmed black man killed
According to an Article in the Oregonian, the Portland Development Commission wants to use your tax dollars to help Home Depot locate on the east end of the Burnside Bridge.
One year later, Eric Schatz continues to hide from the legal process against treesitters.
Jahar Perez is one more in a long line of people of color gunned down by the Portland police. He's the second unarmed person of color in less than a year to be murdered during the course of a "routine" traffic stop. Why is this happening?
this was a suggestion in response to 'James' and his concern over the proliferation of reposted articles on the Portland Indymedia newswire, inability to easily wade through / identify them, etc.
