Pulling up and Identifying the Roots
Lets take a quick look at what is going on around portland lately...well, there is a murderer of bicyclists that is probably getting away with it today. There are also police officers removing posters that advertise murderers in neighbourhoods that these murderers have killed before. Okay, I am not getting into it all, we are just looking at the murderers and stuff and maybe we can take a deeper look at it all, you know?

Some murders that I have left out are the "gang-related" murders taking place. And that is what I want to get to the root of.

How To Prepare For Children At Protests: Vice Versa Is Not Possible
Children Participating in Anti-War Protest in France Protest zones are important classrooms. Attending protests with kids is different than attending protests w/o kids. But going to a protest with an affinity group, or as a street medic, is also different than going alone. And so what would one do to prepare for kids at protests?

The usual remedy for Doctor Rice's "structural" problems
DOCTOR Condoleeza Rice has deflected all criticism of the Bush administration's part in the 9-11 tragedy by pointing to the CULPRIT --- namely, STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS. Where have we heard that before? Let's see, Aristide had to be gotten out of the way because he would not implement the necessary STRUCTURAL reforms. Post-Soviet Eastern Europe and "Communist" China are still undergoing the necessary STRUCTURAL reforms that will allow them to enter into the great and wonderful world of total capitalism. And, as soon as the Bush administration can get past this temporary glitch of elections 2004, Fidel Castro can be eliminated so that the necessary STRUCTURAL reforms can be undertaken in Cuba.

The 14 Identifying Characteristics of Fascism
How far have we come as a society? Not far from the 30's it seems. We get our daily dose of fascist rhetoric over our airwaves from the Larsons, Hannities, Limbaughs and Bocs of the United States, telling us the "right" thing to do. Then we see the U.S. military going out fufilling the "word". When will it end? Maybe when we get rid of those corrupt and destructive neocons running this country.

Time, Consciousness & Identity
Have we made our understanding of the self more difficult by ignoring Einstein's observation that time is just another dimension? If we fully embrace the theory that time is a dimension equal in all ways to the three spatial dimensions, a theory of consciousness and identity, radically different from the prevailing folk theory on consciousness and identity would emerge. This new theory would have profound implications on the notion of the self as an individual. Before we explore this new theory, let us examine the prevailing western folk theory on consciousness and identity.
