Pat Tillman: Hero or Wasted Life?
An argument against the continual depiction of American soldiers as "heroes" by the corporate media, when they are engaged in illegal, immoral wars for fallacious reasons, especially wars that leave a radioactive legacy of cancers and deformed children like the present wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hello Skeptic
A couple of years ago "Skeptic" offered some comments and raised some questions about an article that appeared on this website concering a Falun Gong candlelight vigil at PSU. At the time, I wrote a long comment, sharing my thoughts, but for some reason could not find that page again. Now I can, and I posted it back on that article. It is also here below. ARISSA, the self-proclaimed radical organization co-founded by Craig Rosebraugh the author of "The Logic of Political Violence" are mad at "fucking liberals" for voicing out against their march? Arissa left the nature of the march intentionaly ambiguous with the intent to intimidate the Mayor with political violence (Craig Rosebraugh defines political violence as "actions harming humans") and you wonder why people would boycott your march.

REVIEW: Where's Feminism? Everywhere and Nowhere
This world really needs a new feminism, and the editors and contributors are right on to ground feminism in social movements dealing with real life and not just the simulacra of representational politics. Animal testing? Forced tests on CHILDREN and BABIES
A home for children with hiv forces otherwize healthy and symptom-free children to take medicine that makes them violently ill for medical research.. this website tells a story of a concerned aunt who tries to get her neice and nephew out of the place where they surgically install feeding tubes in children who refuse the medication. Even after having the tubes installed, many of them take several nurses to hold them down to put the medicine in the tubes. Mostly wards of the state, these children are being tortured to test new AIDs drugs.

Ted Koppel calls Bush hypocrite on coffin issue
At the very end of tonight's Nightline (which I only catch when channel surfing), Koppel showed video footage of the coffins coming in to Dover which have been so controversial of late. He mentioned that George Sr. was the one who halted the display of coffin photos and video footage after he was embarassed by a screen juxtaposition which showed him making a speech as coffins arrived at Dover in a split screen.

Collective punishment is a war crime The United States is commiting war crimes right now in Iraq, meanwhile calling a popular uprising '200 guys from syria', drug dealers, thugs etc. The Iraqi governing councel has 'officially' reduced the number of Iraqis the US coalition killed in Fallujah, saying only 18% were civilians. We need to tell people what is really going on in Iraq, and hold this government accountable. This is ridiculous!

The IPR is (supposed to be the link between the police and the city). Civilian review boards are crucial. Public inquest is crucial. But where's the justice? WE ARE THE PEOPLE! Take to the streets. I will be there if you ask me.
