Everyone has their own unique style and method of writing, just as painters or actors have distinct styles. So I can only speak of my own writing techniques. But I thought I would outline some basics that I think make a good written article...

The Ugly American Comes Home to Roost
Over many decades the term "Ugly American" became known outside of the United States as a descriptive term for Americans traveling or working overseas. I first heard this term as a child when my father recommended to my old brother that he read a book by the same title. My brother, a child at the time, was interested in the foreign perception of Americans. He had followed closely the Vietnam war and was struggling to understand foreign sentiment towards Americans, which was largely negative.

Green Party Ballot Access Update
Earth to Brian. Repeat, Earth to Brian. Can You hear me? Please respond.

you seem cheerful at your projections of Cobb/GP 2004 attaining ballot status in "32-34 states" and retaining ballot status in "15 states plus DC" following the elections.

By comparison, Nader/GP 2000 attained ballot status in 43 states plus DC and retained ballot status in 37 states plus DC following the elections.

Only a handful of naive Greens understand shyster david cobb's orwellian concept of "growth thru shrinkage"

Subversion of the movement in support of regime rotation?
Maybe it's just me, but this subversion of the 911 Truth Movement to support "regime rotation" seems to be reaching a nauseating pitch, what with the Republic National Conference coming up this weekend, and it will only continue through November, wittingly or unwittingly, unless we stop it. I'm speaking of activists being urged to hurry up and get the word out about Bush & 9/11 before November, so that Bush will lose some votes he otherwise would have gotten as if that matters.

I am the Enemy; a battlecry
Countless civilians in third world countries are victims of American imperialism every damn day. Families live in fear of brute 'good ole boys,' strutting down the streets with the arrogance and superiority that comes with having assault rifles in hands. People are starving, desperate and dying in the name of the US of A. Children are used and abused, emotionally, physically and sexually at the whim of the footmen of American dominance, while their mothers and fathers are forced to watch. And I lay accountable for this suffering.

Journalistic objectivity and veracity
Many television journalists attempt to project an image of being objective, dealing in facts, as seekers of the truth, and of providing fair and balanced journalism. But contrary to what they would have us believe, they are transparently biased. They make allegations of all kinds about issues that they want to destroy for political and personal reasons. They present these allegations as if they were already established as factual. And they do not offer concrete proof of any kind to make them valid.

Have you read the 9/11 Commission Report? The one that John Kerry says should
be adopted in toto by the Congress? The one that George W. Bush also
applauds and supports (with a few amendments)?

The report states that "threats [to the U.S.] are defined more by the
fault lines within societies than by the territorial boundaries between them..
In this sense, 9/11 has taught us that terrorism against American interests
`over there' should be regarded just as we regard terrorism against America
`over here.'" And then they conclude: "In this same sense, the
American homeland is the planet."(p. 362)
