After Afghanistan is it IRAN's turn? Ask Goli Ameri...
In August, on the Iranian-American blog eyeranian.net, Oregon GOP congressional candidate Goli Ameri was challenged to sign a pledge that she will not support a pre-emptive military assault by the US against Iran; she has refused to sign this pledge.

It is because she isn't sure about her religious affiliation, how she left her country of birth, how her family left and was treated there and finally her status here. She is from that very unique clique that spent summers in European schools and even went to a foreign school in Iran. Totally disconnected from main-stream society in Iran and she continues to be out of touch with her background. This is the exact kind of "ethnic" candidate GOP needs to portray a different face; very confused and with little connection to her ethnic origins/people.

Tactical Escalation
At the RNC, I noticed two conflicting trends, one hopeful and one disturbing.

At two separate events, fire was used as a tactic at the RNC protests. In both instances, organizers claimed that the people who had set the fires were undercover police and provocateurs. There was one trend, initiated by an unknown source to escalate confrontations, there was another to decry such escalation.

We shall now quote a couple of notes from that issue that express the essence of the venezuelan anarchists' perspective.

I believe that the national elections are just another myth.
