Reportback on the Radical Mycology Convergence
Open air cultivation workshop Over 200 people gathered in northern Washington state this past Labor Day weekend to learn about the many uses of the fungal kingdom at the world's first Radical Mycology Convergence. For four days, people gathered from several countries and various cultural backgrounds to teach and learn together about mycoremediation, the use of fungi as a tool to help combat mass pollution and ecological degradation. In an age when so many human caused disasters are occurring throughout the world, the fungi are beginning to be seen as a strong option for tackling some of these great problems long thought impossible to solve.

CRASS - A series of shock slogans and mindless token tantrums - nonfiction Pt.1
I said it would take me a while to post this.
There is some really good timeless stuff in here even though this was originally published in 1982. I would say it's hard to tell it's dated.
Plus some lyrics

A 'manifesto' that came with christ the album

Scanned in PDF, converted to lossy JPG
about 40 images, will be posted in two parts due to imc 30 img limit
If anyone can tell me how or where to post as a PDF (7mb)
Or a better idea for sharing this...I was sad when I wanted to read it again and couldn't find a copy ANYWHERE.
now it's on the net it will live forever.

Over the last two centuries capitalism has expanded food production on an enormous scale, but three decades ago it reached a limit which it has been unable to overcome through the methods used so far. We put the different aspects of this blockage into context: exploding food prices, wastage, over-fishing, biofuel etc. In the end it boils down to the question of who is doing the (agricultural) work.

Memetic Cascadia: Class 3
Class Three (Monday July 25th 2011):

In this session, we explored more of mass manipulation by psychoanalysts as well as begin finding key imagery shared in the Cascadian collective identity. As an assignment we ask that you, the participant, ponder your earliest memories of "rain" and the emotions and situations associated with rain. In this session, the documentary parts 2 and 3 of the Century of the Self will be used at the text for the class.

Memetic Cascadia (class 2) the History of Propganda
Class Two (Monday July 18th 2011):

In this session, we will explore the works of Edward Bernays and others. We will look at how psychology was used by various elite to control the "bewildered herd." We will examine how the very concept of democracy was undermine so as to shift societies from active citizenry to desire driven consumers.

This "class" or actually "think tank" requires interaction between members within the group. Body language, dialog and emotional reactions are critical for our quest to find the Cascadian subconscious and collective mindscape. To watch or read assigned material is not enough to actually understand the journey that this "think tank" is on. I request that physically being in the class is the most valuable part of this quest.

For this class I request all to watch part one of Century of the Self.

the master race’s ultramodern schemes
"For those in whom a local mythology still works, there is an experience both of accord with the social order, and of harmony with the universe. For those, however, in whom the authorized signs no longer work - or, if working produce deviant effects - there follows inevitably a sense both of dissociation from the local social nexus and of quest within and without, for life, which the brain will take for "meaning". Coerced into the social pattern, the individual can only harden to some figure of living death; and if any considerable number of the members of a civilization are in this predicament, a point of no return will have passed."
