Using HTML for indymedia posting

When posting articles or comments to portland indymedia you can use plain text or HTML.

plain text

When using plain text, you can put in a full url (i.e. http://portland.indymedia.org ) and it will be turned into a link. With plain text, you can make paragraphs and add links, but if you want to do more formatting than that, you will need to use HTML.

using HTML
Using HTML for basic formatting like paragraphs, bold, italic, or adding links is easy. Changing font size or color is also simple.

Example:
This is a sentence with a bold tag
HTML:
This is a sentence with a bold tag

Example:
You can combine tags together to make the text bold and italic
HTML:

All line breaks and paragraphs need to be defined by tags as well, otherwise all the text will run together.

Example:
Each line
