Take the PORTLAND DECLARATION: my pledge of action for real elections & Bill of Rights
I am amazed that after 2 hours of mid morning wimpering--with over 250,000 more votes to go in Ohio that were going to be solidly Democratic (the people most concerned about their loss of votes in electronic machines) that would definitely have pushed him over the (fake and unverifiable) totals of Bush, Kerry 'concedes!' I didn't want him, though this is a new low. This is actually a list that I made up before the unverfiable selection. I pledge to take it, do you? Please populate it elsewhere on the web. I'll set up a petition website for it shortly.

FRAUD: Zogby exit polls indicated that Kerry would win Florida & Ohio, & BUSH STOLE THEM
LEAKED EXIT POLLS FROM A MORE INDEPENDENT 'CHECKING' SOURCE--ZOGBY--TO COMPARE!: "The night's cliff-hanger was unexpected in the early evening, however, as leaked exit polls indicated that Kerry would win both Florida and Ohio. One renowned pollster, John Zogby, who works for Reuters, said on his Web site at 5 P.M. ET that Kerry would win 311 electoral votes. But exit polls, like all polls, have a margin of error, ... [unless you are Edison Media Research & Mitofsky INTERNATIONAL and then you can "call it" so accurately they would think you rigged it, I'm not kidding. Edison Media Research & Mitofsky INTERNATIONAL then the Associated Press have had a total national monopoly through their three interlocked corporations of all national election information from districts to the networks. This is the single conduit from which all information only has been 'allowed' to get to the TV media. Then you can miraculously guess it down to the tenth of a percentage point and Diebold/ES&S (both counting about 80% of the U.S. vote in total secrecy under one team of Urosovich brothers who manage both companies) can follow suit to know where to change the results in real time.]

"Many in the press and in the Bush Administration believed in the so-called Incumbent Rule. That rule, based on a claimed historical trend, indicates that the vast majority of undecided voters tend to "break" for the challenger. Since **the last pre-election polls said Bush was favored by about [only] 48% of the voters,** it was assumed that the late break would swing the election to Kerry. That did not happen,..."

PLUS, THE OHIO RULES FOR PROVISIONAL BALLOTS WERE CHANGED--ONLY LAST WEEK. PLUS, MASSIVE VOTING REPORTED THERE TYPICALLY FAVORS DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES (WHILE SMALLER ELECTIONS TYPICALLY FAVOR ONLY REPUBLICANS)--THEY ARE NOT COMING OUT IN DROVES TO VOTE BUSH, IN CLEVELAND.

BUSH HAS STOLEN FLORIDA AND OHIO, STOLEN THE PRESIDENCY FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A ROW.

If Colorado Referendum for proportional rep. on electoral vote wins, then Kerry wins
Though with these voting machines, who knows? Nothing can be verified.

METHOD: I've been creating a database all evening on incoming changing totals, looking at MSNBC charts and BBC's Shockwave maps.

FINDINGS: "In Colorado, electoral seats could be divided up between incumbent George W. Bush and Democratic candidate John Kerry if a proportional representation referendum on the ballot on Tuesday succeeds." [Presently BBC is now reporting (taking from AP) and I quote "Proponents of Proposition 36...have conceded defeat." However, no where can I find the actual totals! ok, Here is what Washington Times said: "The vote was 66 to 33 percent against the amendment, with 43 percent of the vote counted."

The way I am figuring it, without that referendum, its Bush by 270/1+ to Kerry ~266. The Bush total of 270+ is with him getting all 9 electoral votes from Colorado. However, with proportional representation of the whole demographic of the vote in Colorado, with the present spread of 53.2 (Bush) and 45.6 (Kerry) then Kerry will get a bit of the ones temporarily put in the Bush column. OH GOD...

"When Colorado voters go to the polls in four weeks they won't just be electing a president; they will be determining via ballot initiative whether the state's nine electoral votes ought to be split proportionately based upon the results of the election. If the measure passes, in other words, instead of getting all nine Electoral College votes, the winner of the state's popular vote almost certainly would get only five of those votes; the loser almost certainly would get four. Had the proposed change been in place in 2000, Al Gore would be president today. [even with Bush/Diebold vote fraud and rigged Florida elections]."

the US government, however, rejects to do its duty: enlisting iraqi deaths.
according to international law the occupier of a country has to enlisten the number of civilian deaths.

Why Polls Are Bad For Us:voter manipulation, unrepresentative samples (rare article on it)
--of course the article HAS TO COME from Britain to get word on the slavish US press. That in itself is telling of the propagandic uselessless of US corporate media and millions and millions of useless journalistic hack jobs.

MANIPULATION FROM THE (FAKE) LEFT:

"The Star and Tribune had a run a poll saying that John Kerry had a 9 per cent lead over George W Bush in Minnesota. Rival polls claimed the race was tied. The paper's editor had endorsed Kerry, and the Republicans believed they had uncovered a liberal plot...

MANIPULATION FROM THE CORPORATE CHRIST RIGHT:

"Gallup's polls, used by CNN and USA Today, had given Bush a 14 point lead but other polls conducted at the same time put it at around 3 per cent....George Gallup Jr, son of the poll's founder and director of its research centre, was a born-again Christian of the nosiest type who had said earlier this year that 'the most profound purpose of polls is to see how people are responding to God'. 'We thought the purpose is to faithfully and factually report public opinion,' moveon.org retorted with a sniff. You get the picture. Religious fundamentalists in the polling
industry..."

THE CLENCHER

"The polling companies dismissed the protests as overheated allegations from an angry campaign. But the demonstrators were on to something. How can one poll give Kerry a nine point lead in Minnesota and others give him no lead at all? Why do CNN viewers hear that Bush is cruising to a landslide victory, while he's in the tightest race imaginable on other channels?....[P]ollsters fear their racket is 'on the way to extinction'...that the public is fed up with being pestered...Huge numbers refuse to talk to pollsters. Morin found that 'in some surveys fewer than one in five calls produces a completed interview - raising doubts whether such polls accurately reflect the views of the public....Only two of the 11 final national polls were right in 2000."

myth of Israel as a good guy is totally shattered if you click HERE
My myth of Israel was shattered. Through such Jewish voices as Ralph Schoenman, Norman Finkelstein and Lenni Brenner, a whole new picture of the "homeland" was emerging. I read the "Hidden History of Zionism" by Schoenman and "The Holocaust Industry" by Norman Finkelstein. I began researching the writings of Lenni Brenner and attended a meeting at which he spoke. I listened to the lectures of the late Edward Said. I was learning that Zionism was a dangerous geo-political movement and the part that the Rothschilds had played in establishing the state of Israel. I was learning about the Rothschilds' unholy relationship with the Nazis. I was learning about the atrocities that were being perpetrated on the Palestinians. I wondered "How could people who had suffered so much turn around and do the same thing to the people who were living on that land?" I was questioning everything I had been taught. According to Lenni Brenner's book, Zionism in the Age of Dictators (Ch7) the Zionist party was the only other political party in Nazi Germany that enjoyed a measure of freedom, and could publish a newspaper. The reason: Zionists and Nazis had a common interest, making German Jews go to Palestine. ( http://www.marxists.de/middleeast/brenner/ch07.htm) Anyone who listens to the mainstream media thinks that Israel is a helpless country who has to be constantly on guard against terrorist threats. Through the effective use of "fear" and the virtual media blackout, people are kept in darkness. People have swallowed and choked on a veritable feast of lies. --- I watched a video called "Palestine is Still the Issue" by John Pilger. Why has this documentary never been shown on network television? --- I don't know why certain Jewish people would feel "chosen" and my question would be "chosen for what?"

The WMD-lite scandal
It's unimaginable that both the Pentagon and the CIA didn't know exactly what was going on in al-Qaqaa: the sensitive compound had to be under saturated satellite surveillance early last year, as well as each and every Iraqi weapons site. But this information is classified - and it won't be disclosed for public scrutiny.

How does the Bush administration get away with all this? Once again, thanks to the media. Apart from the New York Times, CBS News and the blogosphere, US corporate media are doing what the can to shun the story - duly following the White House line. The entire Bush administration spin now consists of "proving" the explosives had already disappeared before April 3, 2003. But accumulated evidence from the "reality-based community" - ie the real world, as compared with the Bush administration's fantasyland - keeps interfering.

CIA can't authenticate alleged 'al Qaeda' tape
man calling himself After a technical analysis, the CIA cannot determine whether a videotape obtained by ABC News in Pakistan featuring a man claiming to be affiliated with al Qaeda is authentic, a U.S. intelligence official said Thursday.

"We have been unable to verify the tape's authenticity," the official said.

Portions of the 75-minute tape were aired Thursday evening by ABC News, which said it obtained the tape from a source known to have Taliban and al Qaeda contacts in the tribal regions of Pakistan.

ABC said it paid the source $500 in transportation fees.

A U.S. official said there were "real questions about its authenticity."

"Without being able to authenticate it, it's just some guy talking on a tape," the U.S. intelligence official said.

There is a serious problem with Independent Media Centers (IMCs) in the open comment areas. IMCs end up publishing as much content *against* freedom, racism, sexism, classism, etc., as they do *for* those things via the open comment areas. "Trolls," or people who stalk indy media sources and writers, work hard at publishing as much hate mail in comment areas on IMCs as the individual IMC editorial groups will allow or overlook. They do not deserve to be published, plain and simple. It is time the plug was pulled on the trolls.
