The Crushing of Fallujah
I am reading William Shirer's Berlin Diary, a journalist's account of Nazi political propaganda during the 1930's, as I watch the US 'news' reports of the violent assault on Fallujah. The US mass media 'reports', the style, content and especially the language echo their Nazi predecessor of 70 years ago to an uncanny degree. Coincidence? Of course! In both instances we have imperialist armies conquering countries, leveling cities and slaughtering civilians--and the mass media, private in form, state appendages in practice, disseminate the most outrageous lies, in defense and praise of the conquering 'storm troopers'--call them SS or Marines. Both in Nazi Germany and contemporary US, we are told by the mass media that the invading armies are "freeing the country" of "foreign fighters", "armed terrorists", who are preventing "the people" from going about their everyday lives. Yet we know that of the 1,000 prisoners there are only 4 foreigners (3 Iranians and 1 Arab); Iraqi hospitals report less than 10% of foreign fighters. In other words over 90% of the fighters are Iraqis--most of who were born, educated, and raised families in the cities in which they are fighting.

TRANSCRIPT: Democracy Now!: David Cobb of the Green Party Discusses the Ohio Recount
DAVID COBB: Well, Amy, we are demanding...a full statewide recount of every ballot cast....I want to stop for a moment, back up and really give some context to this story, because corporate media is attempting to manufacture consent around the lie that this was a clean and fair election. The reality is that this was not a clean and fair election. Far from it. There is a litany of problems, not only the problems that you mentioned in terms of the voting equipment themselves, but the clear and obvious civil rights and voting rights violations....I just want to observe that it was only thanks to Pacifica and community radio across this country that this story was really getting out....Well, we're not allowed under law to actually demand the recount until the Republican Secretary of State, Blackwell, actually officially certifies the results. He has not done so...as soon as that certification takes place, we will be demanding and filing in every single count in the state of Ohio for a full recount. Under Ohio state law, they must certify the results by December 3, but they might do it earlier, so we're prepared immediately to file that recount....Well, again, the corporate media doing its job to try to manufacture consent, but the reality--what we know on the ground from citizens on the ground, and in fact providing testimony at citizen-conducted hearings, public hearings, we know for a fact there were screens which had a, quote, "jumping screen problem." That is where folks attempted to cast a ballot for one presidential candidate and the screen literally jumped in an attempt to default the vote for Bush.

NO ARNOLD FOR PRESIDENT: NATIONAL MOVEMENT LAUNCHED; 80+% don't want to change Constituion
Warren Buffett, Arnold, & Lord Rothchild (at secret agenda meeting in UK, '02) NO ARNOLD FOR PRESIDENT: NATIONAL MOVEMENT LAUNCHED TO STOP ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER AND HIS POLITICAL OPERATIVES FROM DESTROYING THE US CONSTITUTION

We beg the media to go to  http://www.arnoldexposed.com/ and look at all the well-respected publications that have chronicled Arnold's frightening activities. We sincerely hope that they will interview the founder of Americans Against Arnold and give us equal time to this important issue. All we've seen for the last month is the glossy media presentation of how great Arnold is and what a great idea it would be to amend the Constitution.

The son of an SS nazi officer, Schwarzenegger has publicly stated that he has dreamed of being a dictator and that he admires Hitler. He campaigned for war criminal Kurt Waldhiem after it had been made public that he was a top nazi.

The stories of Arnold's barbaric harrassment of women are legendary. He publicly admits to steroid and marajuana use.

"He supported Enron chief, Ken Lay during the California energy crisis and now his political operatives have launched a blitzkrieg promoting him for President and seeking to end the Constitutional bar against him holding that office. And there's more..."

Americans Against Arnold founder Alex Jones says, "Arnold's already running for President. His operatives have been dominating the airwaves, despite the fact that in major polls 80+ percent of Americans don't want to change the Constitution so he can be President.

Corporate "Mainstream"(TM) Media Ignored And Irrelevant--& on defensive being paid shills
Hardly mainstream. Very ignored. Very irrelevant.

Just when you think they might be getting the picture that the thousands of their jobs are worth less than a dead rat, this this "lobotomy by journalism" comes along and shows you how totally clueless they are. A volunteer researcher on the internet without any connection to a corporate veto on news content can spin circles around them and always will.

This is an interesting take on how corporate media perceives its challengers.

"Buffeted by criticism from the political right and left, dissected by partisans in the Internet blog world and serving increasingly skeptical audiences, the traditional media of daily newspapers and network television are sorting out what went right, what went wrong and what has fundamentally changed. "It's like some gigantic farm animal is being attacked by thousands of insects," National Journal columnist William Powers said this week. "There is so much change happening, and everyone feels a little lost and disoriented."

Now What? First, We Kill the Media
What happens to a people to bring them so distracted by other people's sex lives that they've become divorced from their own true self-interests?

Here's a hint: It's not religion, per se. After all, plenty of folks who read and believe in the exact same bible - Protestants, Catholics, Jews, other kinds of Baptists - voted the other way. In much of Latin America, evangelicals vote with the poor and participate in revolutions. So, it's not really the religion, is it?

No, something else has led us astray, and made it impossible for us, as citizens, to have any clue at all as to what is happening all around us.

Growing Collection of Vote Fraud links
The list of evidence is growing that the US election was anything but a fair vote. Who could possibly think that all of these voting problems are just a minor aberation? The long lines are always in Democratic counties, that the computer 'glitches' always favor Bush, and the new e-machines were made by a Bush 'Pioneer' (top donor) that pledged to deliver for Bush. Funny how Diebold makes bank machines which print paper receipts millions of times daily, but they couldn't get the printer to work in the voting machines. (large collection of links follows)

The Election was Stolen; How we know & Why it matters
If you've been following the news on the U.S. indymedia network this week, you know that a free and fair election was not held on Tuesday. In Ohio, Florida, and elsewhere Republicans attempted to throw out voter registrations on claimed legal technicalities or toss people off the voter rolls for alleged crimes. In precincts populated by the money-poor or people of color, long lines resulted from too few voting machines, and the machines broke down. In areas with electronic voting machines, voters reported "malfunctions" that switched their choices from Democrat to Republican. Most tellingly, exit polling varied -- often wildly -- from the final "official" counts, often most in Bush's favor in those areas with electronic voting machines installed by private companies with Republican ties. On CNN, exit polls were changed to match.
