Example of the psychopath Bush is off camera, the David Letterman backstage film
In it you will see, Bush reach out and use someone else's clothes for polishing and cleaning his glasses without their knowledge. Apply this to other things that we know about him, like protecting bin Laden family members to stating clearly on his first NSC council meeting in 2001, "I want to attack Iraq. Help me find a way to do this." The Mafia doesn't have anything comparable to the Bush crime family, and they know it. Bush is a sick screwed up psychopathic personality.

Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, others @ media blacked out DC TRILATERAL MEETING April 15-18
This year, the Trilaterals returned to their earlier policy of trying to keep their gathering secret. It's Washington office angrily refused to say when and where they would meet.

RUMSFELD has participated with the Trilaterals and its brother group, Bilderberg, as a White House aide under President Ronald Reagan and as defense secretary under the current President Bush. Bilderberg and the Trilateral Commission have interlocking leadership and a common agenda. David Rockefeller and Henry Kissinger are leaders of both groups. The Trilaterals's European chairman, Peter Sutherland, head of Goldman-Sachs International, is also a Bilderberg leader. Former House Speaker Tom FOLEY is the TC's North American chairman.

Appearances by CHENEY, RUMSFELD and other administration officials were VIEWED AS TOP SECRET. The appearances were not listed on their public schedules, not even as involving a "private group." There were no transcripts available, which is routine in normal functions. Paul WOLFOWITZ, deputy secretary of defense and president-elect of the World Bank, addressed the TC's dinner meeting April 17. David GERGEN provided an "analysis of the American electorate." He warned that "nationalism" remains a strong force in America.... Federal Reserve Chairman Alan GREENSPAN addressed the Trilaterals on the subject "resolving global currency and trade conflicts." ----- It has long been the Bilderberg-TC goal to divide the world into three great regions for the administrative convenience of the world government.

The forked tongue of corporate media
There is the corporate media bias that excluded Kucinich, not from the Democratic debates in early 2004, but from coverage of the debates. The same bias excluded Kucinich AND Nader from consideration -- and MORE IMPORTANTLY absolutely excluded consideration of the positions that both Kucinich and Nader proposed as solutions to the multiple problems that plague the country and the people of the U.S.A.

There is, however, another bias that is also important to perpetuating the rule of corporatism in America -- the systematic bias to give an edge to the GOP over the Democrats. The underlying message of that bias is that the Democrats do not represent a majority of the people. Many here at PIMC would agree that the Democrats do not represent a majority -- but the version promoted by corporate media is that the people are MORE "conservative", more pro-war, more anti-welfare than the Democratic Party. Also, the American people are portrayed as more complacent, or less alarmist, about environmental degradation and about corporate corruption than the Democrats.

These are the two forks of the corporatist propaganda tongue --

1) Exlude leftist thinking from the public mind (which includes preventing accurate public knowledge of leftist action); and,

2) Portray the public (thus produce a self-image for the public) as to the RIGHT of the Democratic Party ("more conservative than the Democrats").

PLUS (3) -- Of course, there is also the blatant fascist militarist suppression of all "sensitive" information -- see recent article, "Facts? We don't need no stinkin' facts!" --

Corporate media lies on the "nuclear option"
The term "nuclear option" was invented in 2003 by Senate Republican leaders, who liked the metaphorical explosiveness of it, which allowed them to feel like they still had balls after years of bending over to do whatever the Republican Central Committee and the White House told them to do.

(Note: there are a few Republicans struggling against enormous pressure to retain their honor -- hopefully there are such Republicans in the Congress, there just aren't many of them.)

Then the Republican National Committee ("RNC") research department discovered that the term "nuclear option" wasn't playing well with the public. So, the Republicans decided to "frame" the term as something that was invented by the Democrats. Guess what? Corporate media has gone along with that, not just FOX, but just about all of it.

For example, the New York Times (Sat Apr 23rd, 2005): "Democrats call this the nuclear option, while Republicans call this a constitutional option."

While it is true that the Republican leadership have taken to covering their tracks by using the term "constitutional option" -- it is an outright lie that the Democrats invented or are claiming the term "nuclear option" as their own, and the NYT knows it. But the NYT prefers to pander to the RNC rather than practice responsible journalism.

It amounts to free ad space provided to the RNC by the NYT and the rest of corporate media.

"Freeze the Media" in Two Weeks! (May 9)
"Freeze the Media Day" is when people all around the country drop superglue and toothpicks into the money slots of slimy corperate media newspaper dispensers. This is a statement to figures who like to put themselves in places of power that the power still remains with the people and that we can still tear down any institutions we feel the need to because the were built over the labor on our backs. This is also a message to them that we won't tolerate the bullshit spins they put out to keep us in a constants state of fear and obediance. This is a nationwide event, and we're looking for solidarity everywhere to help spread this empowering message.

First Ecuador, now Mexico
ABOUT A MILLION PROTESTORS CLOG TRAFFIC IN MEXICO CITY !

While the media sleeps, history is being made in Mexico. Unreported by U.S. corporate media, (other than on the international page of the New York Times), one of the largest marches in Mexican history is BIG NEWS in our neighbor to the south -- to defend democracy and to protest an attempt to rig the upcoming presidential elections.

Millions of Mexicans are thronging the streets to demand that Democracy be preserved, and that Mexico City Mayor Manuel Lopez Obrador not be denied the presidency by crooked judicial and political maneuvers that would make a Bush blush.

The news about growing unrest in Mexico, however, could not be kept from the investment and financial pages -- Friday's Financial Times --

"According to the most recent poll for the El Universal newspaper, 72 per cent of Mexicans believe Mr López Obrador was impeached to remove a political rival, rather than as part of a legal proceeding. Two-thirds said they would be prepared to take part in acts of civil disobedience to support him."

Filibuster battle as seen on NBC
On Thursday evening, I found encouraging news on the filibuster battle at Yahoo News. A private Republican poll, leaked to the Associated Press, had found -- among Republican voters! -- only 37 percent support for the GOP plan to deny Democrats the ability to filibuster judicial nominees, while 51 percent were opposed.

"Additionally, the survey indicated only about 20 percent of Americans believe the Republican statement that Bush is the first president in history whose court appointees have been subjected to a filibuster."

I thought to myself, the filibuster battle is over. It's nothing, I thought, but what "the Dude" in an article posted this evening calls the "SillyBuster" -- and the "nuclear option" threat is hollow and about to implode. What I did not count on was the perseverance of evil in the U.S.A. The Republicans do not ever see a negative poll as an indication that it's time to turn around -- it's just a challenge, requiring pouring some more money into the pot and stirring.

This story is from the Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal. Guess what? After googling and trying the search at Yahoo News, I see that corporate media isn't picking up on it! Even though it has been reported in the daily Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal!

Cayahoga County (Ohio) has appointed Erie County Prosecutor Kevin J. Baxter to investigate whether the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections broke the law in its recount of ballots from the November presidential election.

Like the election in November, it now is documented that the recount was also rigged. Precincts selected for the "random" sample of the recount were NOT randomly selected. The opening of ballots wasn't properly witnessed as required by law.

Noreen Gosch sits in a booth at the West Des Moines Village Inn, nursing a cup of coffee and managing, despite her larger-than-life personality, to blend into the surroundings and keep a low profile in the almost empty restaurant. She is open with her thoughts and willing to share what information she can, yet she remains guarded - cautious and thoughtful in a manner often mistaken as cold and standoffish. She thinks carefully as she speaks about her son, Johnny, and the players in a bizarre conspiracy surrounding his disappearance in 1982 that continues to evolve, and may finally be on the verge of breaking down.

No documented abuses of the PATRIOT Act?
News lately is full of testimony of U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales testifying how mild and unoffensive the PATRIOT Act has been in practice. U.S. Rep. John Conyers has posted his own blog at his web site today, totally refuting such claims by Gonzales and the rest of the Bush gang.

Notably, Conyers points to the Bryan Mayfield case as proof that the PATRIOT Act has been egregiously abused -- as has been well documented here at PIMC.

Gonzales is the attorney who wrote the Bush administration's position paper authorizing torture of prisoners.

Conyers is a member of the House Progressive Caucus.
