The Oregonian's David Reinhard
Who really belongs in these cages? In the 6-15-06 issue of 'The Oregonian,' David Reinhard wrote perhaps the most hate-mongering column of his career. I wrote them a letter (see below), called to cancel my subscription, and called the public editor to protest. I'm hoping some readers of this site my be willing to call the Oregonian's public editor to protest, and if you have a subscription, this is a good time to cancel. Public Editor: 503-221-8150. I have included a hyperlink to the actual David Reinhard column, so please, judge for yourself. Pretty damn hateful if ask me, even for 'The Oregonian.' Yes, I know, they are corporate media, so what did I expect? Well, they used to have some redeeming features. Now all they have is 'Get Fuzzy.'

The Suspension of Belief and the Implosion of Meaning
Existence in a post-modern world, or living in a world where text/image (signs) have imploded and offer no inherent meaning outside a consciousness that animates/endows signs which in turn deliver meaning/endowment back to the same consciousness that so desperately needs to invest in meaning! In other words, 'reality' is up for grabs; creating your own reality in a world of competing 'realities' has become the principal pursuit of modern humanity.

Al-Zarqawi and the ‘Superpower’
The world's single "uncontestable" 'superpower' has been at war with a man it helped create [Hollywood Style]. The Straussian doctrine outlined by Perle and Wolfowitz to the PNAC members/signatories is now short one antagonist; but the show must go on hence you will note the inverted commas of the headline 'NOT OVER' (my emphasis). Trotsky would be proud; a minor re-arrangement of Jewish philosophy from perpetual revolution to perpetual war is not an issue for Zion and its adherents. Permanent war, is a perversion of the Trotskyist doctrine of "permanent revolution", but why worry about minor details it's an all Jewish ideology and Trotsky, Leo Strauss and his two most infamous students Wolfowitz and Perle are certainly not Baptists. No doubt the anti-semitic lobby will prevent anyone from making the obvious connection and publishing it in the mainstream media.

a picture is worth 1000 words 06.05.2006 17:48
Just wanted to share my FAVORITE 9-11 picture that trashes "AA77 at the Pentagon" story...
#1 before walls falls, seen more than next photo-- We've all see the flaming volcanic hole perfectly punched in the Pentagon before the reinforced wall collapsed (or was detonated to cleanly collapse all at once from one side, after all it was under construction and all of the "important personnel" were working elsewhere so the Pentagon could hit themselves without doing any personnel damage--except the Pentagon intel team that outed Israeli spy Pollard!--they were left in the area to be decimated and murdred.).

Picture #2 I have rarely seen shown by others. It seems to have been taken right after picture #1 below, as the fire is over, though before the wall "collapsed." If anyone sees a Boeing 757 there either, let me know!

Summarizing the Sudden "Rash of Truthiness" against Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Bolton
Bolton's anger at questions of his credibility and motives and PNAC, at the U.N. [summary for forwarding---the sudden rash of 'truthiness'] from late April into May 2006 ---] COMMENTARY/SUMMARY/VIDEO: "Unscripted PR" (i.e., reality) intrudes on neocons:

1. ex-CIA officer questions Rumsfeld in Atlanta on his lies of going to war with Iraq, Rumsfeld tries to have him removed, fails

2. Cheney massively booed at baseball park, despite "PR-symbolism protection" of attempting to shield and associate himself with injured vets, fails to work, huge boos

3. Bush lampooned 30 min. straight in DC Dinner; Bush frozen in place, through turning red like a volcano, looks like he came unhinged, kid's temper tantrum

4. Bolton as well, pounced on at the U.N. when he wants to pre-emptively invade Iran as well: "...you violated the UN charter [on no preemptive war] when you went to war against [UN member] Iraq and you constantly lied to us about the reasons we went to war...[this is a pre-emptive war for Israel, and is connected...]...in 1996 with the Project of New American Century and, you know, why do you have credibility other than you just got the bigger guns?"

Perhaps the most incendiary paragraph in the essay [The Israel Lobby] - albeit one whose contents have been confirmed in the Israeli press - discusses Israel's pressure on the United States to invade Iraq. "Israeli intelligence officials had given Washington a variety of alarming reports about Iraq's WMD programmes," the two academics write, quoting a retired Israeli general as saying: "Israeli intelligence was a full partner to the picture presented by American and British intelligence regarding Iraq's non-conventional capabilities."

250,000 in 4 days contact scared Congress wanting to kill NET NEUTRALITY/content equality
Continuing story from "Net Neutrality Death or Life of Internet Decided in US Congress NOW, contact info!"  link to portland.indymedia.org ---

IN FOUR DAYS ALONE, 250,000 CONTACTED CONGRESS, and 600 blogs started writing about it. This led many of the subcommittee members mentioning firestorm of calls and letters they recieved and those still voting to kill net neutrality against the overload were said to be noticably "defensive" in their votes, which can be seen on the video recording of the vote.

In four days--versus years of instiutionalized telecom bribery--the gap was closed.

People are aware of the seriousness of this. The net neutrality of the Internet is about to die and be transformed into letting private corporations determine all content you view on the internet as well as your accessibilty of content on the internet. Instead of simply passing on what consumers want to see, corprations will determine what limited content is available for you to see, if this passes. --- The full subcommitee of 55-56 (one not even voting!) voted to recommend to kill net neutrality, 43-22. However, from video it was highly contentious for a committee vote and those on camera voting to kill net neutrality showed "a noticable defensiveness" according to  http://www.savetheinternet.com. Others targeted by blogs made a vote switch to preserve net neutrliaty, making the vote closer than expected. MORE BELOW.

New Study reveals OREGONIAN Double-standard
Exclusion of the Palestinian Narrative As the only daily newspaper in the State of Oregon with state-wide circulation and the largest newspaper in the Pacific Northwest, the Opinion Page editors of The Oregonian carry the burden of a public trust to provide a wide-open forum for debate on the pressing issues of our day. With respect to the debate on the Israeli- Palestinian conflict, however, the editors of the Opinion Pages have failed to meet their obligations to the public.

This report documents the findings of a one-year study of the Opinion Pages of The Oregonian conducted by Americans United for Palestinian Human Rights and Palestine Media Watch. Specifically, this report is concerned with the content presented in The Oregonian's Editorial Section and the newspaper's selection of commentaries, cartoons, and letters to the editor dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for the period beginning on June 1, 2004 and ending on May 31, 2005.
