2012: The Year The Internet Ends
06/01/2008 - Every significant Internet provider around the globe is currently in talks with access and content providers to transform the internet into a television-like medium: no more freedom, you pay for a small commercial package of sites you can visit and you'll have to pay for seperate subscriptions for every site that's not in the package.

Bilderberg media blackout blown: meeting outside D.C. this year; the ultimatum from Asia
Biggest news all year has a media blackout: "the 2008 Bilderberg meeting gets underway today [outside Chantilly, Virginia] without even being mentioned in the American corporate media." Sad to say that the biggest news is being blown wide open on independent media this year while corporate media in the U.S. operates closer to a Chinese model. Bilderberg outside of D.C., afraid to meet in Europe where people are violently angry at them, back to the USA where centralized media exists for them to hide within; more about the Ultimatum from Asia, via Benjamin Fulford's threats to take out 10,000 elites via strategic assassination of our American/European secret government--which I expect some will be discussing and sweating about.

"Once Jim identified the time and location, he notified Alex Jones and Luke Rudkowski of the maverick street journalism group wearechange.org and there are now 40+ citizen cameras on the scene as the secret service locks down the hotel. Live coverage at infowars.com, gcnlive.com, wearechange.org, prisonplanet.com."

Jello Biafra responds to Savage's use of DKs song "California Über Alles"
Earlier this week, after Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA) was diagnosed with a brain tumor, right-wing talker Michael Savage offensively mocked Kennedy's condition by playing the Dead Kennedys song "California Über Alles" and reading aloud its lyrics on his radio show. In an expletive-laden interview with the Boston Phoenix, Dead Kennedys lead singer Jello Biafra responded to Savage's use of his song, saying he took the "song way the hell out of context and did it deliberately." From the interview:

Senate just throws out FCC ruling that would have allowed MORE media consolidation
Many of us went up to Seattle to fight the FCC, knowing all along that the deck was stacked. They wanted to hand over a huge victory to the corporate police state: They wanted to allow anyone with enough riches to take control over all of the media they want. That means, they would have been able to control what we see, hear, learn, and think. And they had the votes to override the voices of millions of citizens who opposed the plan. ...Or so they thought.

What Killed Sea Lion B198?
Shortly before the ghastly discovery of six sea lion deaths in the traps up at Bonneville, another sea lion, branded B198, was captured in those same traps. He was transported with several others up to Tacoma, to be held and examined, and was then supposed to be transported to a life of captivity in a zoo. But B198 never made it out of Tacoma. He died in captivity, while being examined under anesthesia. Like the six sea lions found in the traps, B198 was a casualty of the irrational campaign to remove sea lions from their ancestral home on the Columbia.

Many candidates, corporate media obscures U.S. presidential politics
Third political parties do not compete on a level playing field in U.S. politics; the corporate media will spend more money in one day, promoting the campaigns of Senators John McCain, Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton, than the amount of money third political parties will spend in one year to promote their candidates, combined. While third party candidates are spending hundreds and thousands of dollars on flyers and brochures, big corporations are spending millions to keep the names of their candidates in the public's view.

And of course she was one who could tell the blatant and unmitigated truth. No mealy-mouther her. No—not Randi Rhodes. But then she called Hillary Clinton a "f**king" whore at a speech event in the Frisco Bay area. It got on the Internet via YouTube and made a splash—daring. Some rightly protest that Hillary is indeed a whore—so what is the big deal? But while we are collectively soul searching about her leaving Air America under the situation, we might note that we are all, or most of us, compromisers to some extent with spiritual lessons to learn.

A Theory About Conspiracy Theories—American Style:
omehow, in our corrupted culture of political correctness and judgmentality the notion of a "mere" theory is suspect on its face. In this Orwellian world of black and white dogma the very notion of hypothetically constructing a potential scenario is held in much dismissive contempt. Why? Trivial as it may seem, the word 'theory' is actually a cognate of the word 'theatre', as ancient Greek 'theatron' meant to look or view. So normally a theory is something that one views and contemplates—that is if one feels psychological free to do so—without arbitrarily dumping on a theory one has only half-heartedly and begrudgingly investigated.

On Friday Bear Stern shares closed at $30. Over the weekend it was sold to JP Morgan for $2 a share. To the NYT writer that is "about one-tenth the firm's market price."

There you have the quality of economic reporting, or should we call it propaganda, that had a big part in building the debt bubble and its now occuring destruction. If 6.6% is "about one-tenth" there is quite some room to fudge the books.
